Sunday, January 7, 2001 -- The Lord continues to bless Landmark MBM. Forty-four were present for Sunday School today, and 53 attended the Morning Worship services. There were four first time visitors. The recent bad weather has delayed work on the new building, but the brick layer has promised to start this week. Please continue to remember us in your prayers. We thank you for your prayers and offerings and pray that our Lord would bless you greatly for your faithfulness.
Sunday, January 14, 2001 -- We had another good day at Landmark with 38 in Sunday School and 46 present for the Morning Worship services. There were two first time visitors. One of these was the daughter of a woman who had visited for the first time the previous week. Her mother returned and brought her along.
The most exciting news of the week is that we have a group interested in the old building. They have asked about the earliest date we could let them move in. This is truly an answer to prayer as it would not only allow us to divest ourselves of the old property, but would give us some extra funds to help pay for the new building. Please be in prayer with us for this situation as well as for the work on the new building and the work of building for the Lord in this city of 10,000 people. Thank you for your prayers, offerings, and concern. May God richly bless you all.
Sunday, January 21, 2001 -- Attendance remained about the same today at Landmark. We thank the Lord that the members are remaining faithful and pray that more will be added. The exciting news of the week is that the bricklayer has started work and made some good progress. Before long the members will be able to put in the insulation, which will be followed by the hanging and finishing of the sheetrock. Please continue to make the construction of the new building and the interest in the old one by a group in Hope a matter of prayer.
Continue to remember the mission in your prayers -- that we may soon see a strong, self-supporting New Testament church in this city of 10,000. We thank you for your offerings and prayers in the past and pray God's richest blessings upon you all.
Sunday, January 28, 2001 -- Attendance at Landmark held steady again today with 40 in Sunday School and 54 in the Morning Worship services. One highlight of the day was the 11 first time visitors who attended the service. This was all one family -- a family the mission had helped out about a year ago when their house burned. Please pray for this family and their decision about a church home.
Work continues to progress, though slowly. The brick layer in putting the finishing touches on his labor, and the electrical rough-in is almost complete and ready for an inspection. This will allow the mission members to put up insulation in the evenings and on Saturday. The county sanitation director will not allow us to install a holding
tank until the city gets the sewer system run to our side of the highway. Instead, he is requiring a septic tank. This is an added expense, but he has agreed to allow us to get by with as small a tank as possible.
The Lord continues to bless in this work, and for this we are thankful. We are also thankful for your continued prayers and offerings. We pray that our Lord will richly bless each of you for your faithfulness to support this work.
2000 REPORTS
Sunday, January 2, 2000 -- The new year got off to a great start at Landmark MBM. Our attendance rebounded from last week's slump with 28 present for Sunday School, and 39 attending the Morning Worship. There was one first time visitor and several returning visitors. We look forward to another great year as we serve the Lord in Hope. Please continue to pray for us and the work here. As always, may God richly bless you for you faithful support of this work in both prayers and finances.
Sunday, January 9, 2000 -- Twenty-seven were present for Sunday School, and twenty-eight attended the Morning Worship today at Landmark. In the evening, twenty-four returned for our worship services, and the Lord blessed with the addition of another couple. The Lewises came on the promise of a letter from another Baptist church in the area. Please pray for them and us as we enter into this work together. As always, we thank you for your support and pray for God's richest blessings upon you all.
Sunday, January 16, 2000 -- Today was a bit unusual at Landmark. Due to a stomach virus Bro. Fulmer was unable to stay for Sunday School or Morning Worship. However, faithful members of the mission taught the Sunday School lesson and brought a devotional in the worship service. At the invitation, two came forward for prayer. Due to Bro. Pat's illness, we did not get a count in Sunday School, but we did set a new high attendance record in the Morning Worship with FIFTY (50) present and EIGHT first time visitors. We can only praise God for this good news. Once more, thank you for your prayers and financial support, and may God bless you all.
Sunday, January 23, 2000 -- The Lord continues to bless at Landmark with the addition of two more on the promise of a letter. Twenty-nine attended Sunday School, and thirty-six were present for the Morning Worship. This was in spite of the adsence of some of our "regulars" who were out due to illness. There were four first time visitors. The work on the pad for our new building is completed, and Bro. Reed has delivered a detailed floor plan and plot plan. The plot plan has already been approved by the city. We are now looking at getting bids from the various contractors. We praise God for His blessings, and we thank you for your prayers and support.
Sunday, January 30, 2000 -- Due to the heavy snow and icy conditions, we were unable to hold services today at Landmark. Please continue to pray for this work, and, as always, we appreciate your faithful support.
1999 REPORTS
Sunday, January 3, 1999 -- The combination of another holiday weekend and colder than usual temperatures really brought our attendance down from a week or so ago. Bro. Fulmer reports 14 for Sunday School and 19 in the Morning Worship services. However, we continue to praise God for first time visitors. Bro. Pat's visitation efforts are certainly being rewarded. As always, thank you for your prayers and finanacial support, and we pray for God's richest blessings upon you all.
Sunday, January 10, 1999 -- Attendance was up this week at Landmark MBM. Bro. Fulmer reports 17 for Sunday School, 23 for the Morning Worship, and 3 first time visitors. A total of 21 came back for the Evening Worship services with 3 more first time visitors. Each week there are those present who need to make decisions for Christ. We ask that you pray for these, that they would be receptive and submissive to the Lord's will for their lives. We still need to do a good bit of work on the building, but this will have to wait until warmer, drier weather. Once more, we thank you for remembering us in your prayers and for the financial support you send our way. May God bless each of His churches as we labor together for Him.
Sunday, January 17,
1999 -- For some unexplainable reason, our numbers fell off a bit with only 16 in Sunday School, 19 in Morning Worship, and
18 returning for the evening services. Bro. Pat is not disheartened by this, and we understand that these lulls occur
occasionally. Please continue to be in prayer for the Fulmers, Landmark MBM, Bethel MBC, Ashdown (sponsoring church), and
those that Bro. Fulmer has visited and witnessed to these last few months. We thank you all for your prayers and financial
support and invite you to visit us at Landmark whenever you
can.
Sunday, January 24,
1999 -- Sometimes the actions of people are difficult to explain. Although attendance in Sunday School was down (to 16), the number in Morning Worship actually rose (to 26). Eighteen returned for the Evening Worship services. Bro. Fulmer continues to visit and witness faithfully, and we ask that you continue to pray for him in these efforts. We are planning to attend the upcoming meeting of the Arkansas State Mission Project in Cave City, Arkansas. Please remember us in your prayers as we travel. Thank you for your support, and may God bless you and your concern for missions.
Sunday, January 31,
1999 -- With several people out of town, attendance fell off today and Landmark MBM. Bro. Pat reports 17 for Sunday School and 19 for the Morning Worship. Please continue to pray for him as he visits and witnesses of our Savior. As always, we appreciate your support and your prayers for this work.
