FEBRUARY REPORTS
-
Sunday, February 6, 2000 -- The Lord continues to bless at Landmark MBM. Even though the bad weather forced the cancellation of last week's services, attendance was good today, and the Lord added another member to the work. Forty-one were present for Sunday School, and Fifty-one attended the Morning Worship services. During the invitation one young man came forward desiring salvation. Bro. Fulmer led him to the Lord, and he desires to unite with the work by baptism. We praise God for His wonderful blessings, and we thank you for your faithful support.
-
Sunday, February 13, 2000 -- We continue to praise the Lord for what He is doing at Landmark MBM. On February 7-8 Bro. Fulmer and Bro. Harris traveled to Cave City for the Arkansas State Mission Project meeting with First Baptist Church of that city. At the meeting, Landmark was selected to receive the second quarter funds from the ASMP. We praise God and thank those present for that selection.
On Sunday (the 13th) the Lord added 3 more to the mission as a man, his wife, and one child joined on the promise of a letter from a church in the area. (This is a man who had accompanied Bro. Fulmer on visitation a few times before joining. Thirty-seven were present for Sunday School and 49 attended the Morning Worship, with seven first time visitors. We were also privileged to have Bro. Edgar Sutton with us in the services.
Then, on Monday evening (the 14th) while Bro. Fulmer and another member were visiting a family that had attended the mission for the first time the day before, they had the privilege of leading a 14 year old girl to the Lord. While they were still at the home, another woman and her children came in. They were looking for a church home, and Bros. Fulmer and Lewis talked with her for about an hour. After going home, she then called back to ask if the brethren would stay there while she and her husband came over and talked to them.
As we have said before, we can only thank the Lord for the wonderful things He is doing in the city of Hope. We thank all of you for your faithful support and prayers and ask His richest blessings upon all of you, as well.
-
Sunday, February 20, 2000 -- Our Lord continues to bless us at Landmark MBM. A new attendance record for the Morning Worship was set today as 47 attended our Sunday School, and 57 were present in the Morning Worship services, with 6 first time visitors. We continue to make progress toward the construction of our new building. We have now received the completed plans, and they have been approved by the city. Unfortunately, due to various delays we have had to reschedule the Mission Builders for September. When that time arrives, we hope to move forward without any interruptions. We thank you for your prayers and offerings, and we pray for God's richest blessings upon you all.
-
Sunday, February 27, 2000 -- Although our number was down a little, we still had a good attendance today at Landmark. Forty-one attended Sunday School, and fifty-two were present for the Morning Worship services, with seven first time visitors. Our members continue to be excited and enthusiastic about the work, encouraging and inviting their friends and family members. Please pray for us, that this desire to faithfully serve the Lord will continue. We know the glory and thanks for all the good things that have happened in the last fifteen months must go to our loving Lord. We thank you for your prayers, and your faithful support, and as we always do, we pray that God will richly bless each one.
1999 REPORTS
-
Sunday, February 7, 1999 -- Bro. Fulmer reports a good attendance today at Landmark with 22 for Sunday School and 29 in the Morning Worship. There were many visitors included in this number, for which we are thankful. Bro. Pat continues his visiting and witnessing, and the Lord continues to bless his efforts. We thank each of you for your prayers as well as for your financial support. May God richly bless you all.
-
Sunday, February 14, 1999 -- Unfortunately, attendance was down this week at Landmark. Bro. Fulmer reports 16 for Sunday School and 19 for Morning Worship. However, their spirits were lifted by the presence of two more first-time visitors. Please remember the Fulmers and Landmark in your prayers. As always, thank you for you generous support.
-
Sunday, February 21, 1999 -- Attendance was lower again this week at Landmark. Earlier in the day one of the members had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital. As can be expected this adversely affected the attendance figures as only 13 were present for Sunday School and 14 for the worship services. Bro. Fulmer did report another first-time visitor in attendance today. Again, we request your prayers for this work, for the Fulmers, and for the lady who suffered the heart attack, as well as for her family.
-
Sunday, February 28, 1999 -- We continue to have good fellowship and first time visitors at Landmark. Bro. Fulmer reports 21 for Sunday School and 25 in the morning worship services. Of this number, three were visiting for the first time. A total of eighteen returned for the Evening Worship. The lady who suffered the heart attack last week was released from the hospital on Saturday. My, how we thank God for answered prayers! Thank you, too, for your prayerful as well as financial support of this mission work. Continue to pray for us as we seek to establish a New Testament church in Hope.
1998 REPORTS
-
Sunday, February 8 -- We held
the second of our Sunday afternoon services with eleven from Bethel, Ashdown,
three from Landmark, Hope, and one visitor present. Sunday morning
attendance continues steady with five for Sunday School and worship.
-
Sunday, February 15 -- Although
attendance was down in our afternoon services, we remain encouraged. In
the morning services Bro. Larry Fry, from Avery, Texas, filled the pulpit
for Bro. Crane. (Bro. Crane was away presenting the jail and prison ministry
in Star City, Arkansas.) Sunday School attendance totaled 17, with 19 in
the morning worship services. Several of these were visitors from
Hope and the Hope area.
-
Sunday, February 22 -- Attendance
was good again this week in the morning services at Landmark MBM with a
total of 13 for Sunday School and 17 for the morning worship. Some of those
who visited last week returned today and were also in the afternoon services.
We thank God for these. One mission member who had not previously
been present for the afternoon worship was also present for those services
today. We continue to ask for your prayers as we continue our search for
the man God would have on this field.
