MARCH REPORTS
Sunday, March 5, 2000 -- Even with some of the mission members out of town, our attendance remained good with 43 present for Sunday School, 49 attending the Morning Worship, and two first time visitors. We were also blessed with an exceptionally good offering. The growth of this work is quite evident, and we must always praise the Lord for His wonderful blessings. We also thank each one of you who faithfull supports this work through your prayers and your finances. We pray for God's richest blessings upon you all.
Sunday, March 12, 2000 -- God continues to bless with another addition and another record day at Landmark. Fifty-one attended Sunday School yesterday morning, and fifty-seven were present for the Morning Worship services, with six first time visitors present. The one addition was a lady whose husband was saved recently. She came on the promise of a letter from an area church. We also saw another good offering for the week. First and foremost, we praise God for His wonderful blessings upon this work. Secondly, we thank you for your prayers and for your financial support of Landmark MBM. Continue to keep us in your prayers, and may God bless your faithful support of missions.
Sunday, March 19, 2000 -- Attendance was down a little today due to the absence of several of our members. However, the Lord continues to bless us with 44 for Sunday School, 48 for the Morning Worship, and 3 first time visitors. Our progress has been slowed a bit on our building, as we are awaiting state approval on our plumbing plans. However, once that is taken care of, it looks like we will be ready to move forward with our slab work. Continue to pray for us and for this work. We thank you for your prayers and financial support, and may God bless you all.
Sunday, March 26, 2000 -- Attendance continues to be good at Landmark. Today 43 attended Sunday School, and 53 were present for the Morning Worship services. There were two first time visitors. We continue to have visitors and people that could (should) make a committment to Christ. Please pray for these that they will follow God's will for their lives. This week we will be presenting our plumbing plans to the State Health Department in Little Rock. Please pray that all will go smoothly and we can get started on our new building in the near future. Thank you all for your prayers and financial support. We pray that God will richly bless you for your faithfulness.
1999 REPORTS
Sunday, March 7, 1999 -- Bro. Fulmer reports another good day at Landmark MBM, with 22 present for Sunday School and 24 attending the Morning Worship services. Eighteen returned for the evening worship. Also, the mission received Penny Maxwell into their membership by statement. Penny had been a member of Liberty MBC at the time it reverted to mission status, but her name was inadvertently left off the list of those transferred into the mission work. Please pray for Sis. Maxwell as well as for those who need to make decisions about joining the mission work at Hope.
Sunday, March 14, 1999 -- Attendance was again in the twenties for Sunday School and Morning Worship at Landmark MBM as we continue with a slow, but steady growth. The Lord blessed with another addition as a young person came forward during the invitation expressing a desire to unite with LMBM on the promise of a letter. We thank God for His goodness toward us. As always, we thank you for your faithful support of this work through your prayers and offerings. May God richly bless you all.
Sunday, March 21, 1999 -- Bro. Fulmer reports a Sunday School attendance of 15, with 22 present for the Morning Worship. The mission work saw one first time visitor present this week. Our fellowship continues to be good, and the mission members are inviting friends and family members to visit the services. Of course, Bro. Pat also continues his visitation efforts with good success. As always, we thank you for your prayers and financial support.
Sunday, March 28, 1999 -- Sunday School attendance held steady today with 15 present, but the number present in the Morning Worship rose to 27, with three first time visitors. Several of our regulars were not present for various reasons -- out of town, work, etc. Sis. Duke continues to be hospitalized, and we ask your prayers for her. Bro. Fulmer continues to be enthusiastic about the work in Hope, and we look forward to continued growth as the Lord blesses and adds to this work.
1998 REPORTS
Sunday, March 1 -- Attendance
was down in the morning services this week. There were a total of
seven present for Sunday School and morning worship. Once again,
some of those who have been visiting in recent weeks were present and had
several questions about the mission work. The afternoon services
were well attended, with several from Bethel in Ashdown present and offering
encouragement to the mission members. We again ask you to pray for
us as we search for the man God would have serve Him on this field.
We'll see you at the Pastors' & Missionaries' Conference on the 10th
and 11th of this month!
Sunday, March 8 -- Due to bad weather and illness, attendance was low in both the morning and afternoon services this week. However, the spirits of the mission members remain high, and they continue to desire to have a strong, self-supporting New Testament church in Hope. As we make plans to attend the Pastors' & Missionaries' Conference this week, we look forward to seeing many old friends and to making new ones. We hope to see you Tuesday and Wednesday in Texarkana!
Sunday, March 15 -- Attendance was up a little in both services today in spite of bad weather. (It seems that lately, if it is warm, it is raining, and if it is clear, it is cold.) The mission members continue to be encouraged at the prospects of finding a missionary and seeing a man on the field full-time. Between 2:30 and 11:00 PM yesterday, my family and I drove a total of 200 miles, going to Emerson, Arkansas following the services at Hope to present a report on the mission work to Hephzibah MBC. At this point in time, we have several churches that have voted to support the work on a monthly basis, and more are being added. A full financial report will be added to the reports we are mailing to supporting churches. It was good to see many of you at the Pastors' & Missionaries Conference last week, and, my, didn't Bro. Fry preach a wonderful message on Tuesday night! Continue to pray for us as we search for a missionary. We have several who have indicated an interest, and we are seeking God's will in this matter. We at Bethel MBC thank you for your prayers and financial support.
Sunday, March 22 -- We continue to look for a missionary for Landmark MBM in Hope. It seems that we are just a little too late as we contact men to come in view of a call. Of the ones we have contacted, some had just accepted other works, and one feels that the Lord would have him to stay where he is. Neither Bethel MBC, nor the members of Landmark MBM are discouraged. We know that God has the man He wants to serve Him through this work. Attendance continues to be steady, visitors continue to come, and we believe both will increase once we are able to place a man on the field. A good number of people from Bethel visited in the afternoon services, along with Bro. Jackie Adams, former pastor of Bethel. Bro. Adams preached for us and brought a wonderful message from the third chapter of John. Next Saturday we will be presenting the work to the Mission Rally of the First Union Association as it meets with Bethel MBC in Waldo, Arkansas. We ask for your prayers, and when possible your financial support as the Lord leads.
Sunday, March 29 -- Due to the absence of a couple of the mission members, attendance was down once again in Sunday School and morning worship, as well as in the afternoon services. My wife was ill Sunday afternoon, so she remained in Ashdown while I went to Hope with two members from Bethel. Spirits are still high as our search for a missionary continues. We have invited a couple of men to come in view of a call. One feels led to stay where he is, and the other is still prayerfully considering the matter. Remember us in your prayers. (On Saturday evening, March 28, I attended the Mission Rally of the First Union Association at Bethel MBC in Waldo. We had a wonderful time of fellowship as a report on Landmark MBM was followed by the preaching of God's Word. We appreciate this association and her support of Landmark.)
