APRIL REPORTS

  • Sunday, April 2, 2000 -- The Lord continues to bless our work at Landmark Mission. Forty-four attended Sunday School today, and 56 were present for the Morning Worship. There were six first time visitors. Best of all, we saw two more additions as one lady joined on the promise of a letter, and a young girl came forward on her profession of faith and desiring Scriptural baptism. We rejoice in her salvation and willingness to be obedient to the Lord in baptism. We can only praise God daily for His goodness toward us and this work. We thank you for your prayers and financial support. We know that our Lord will bless you all for your faithfulness.

  • Sunday, April 9, 2000 -- Due to illness, attendance dropped quite a bit today at Landmark. Thirty-one were present for Sunday School, while forty-four attended the Morning Worship services. Our hearts were encouraged with two first time visitors, and we baptized the young lady who came forward last week on her profession of faith. Pray for her and her growth in the Lord, and please continue to remember us in your prayers. We thank you for ALL your support -- in both prayers and finances. It is our prayer that God will richly bless you for your faithfulness to Him through this work.

  • Sunday, April 16, 2000 -- Attendance rose a little at Landmark today, although several of the "regulars" were gone for the day. Forty were present for Sunday School, and forty-five attended the Morning Worship. There were six first time visitors. At the present time we are trying to move forward on our building project. Bethel, our sponsoring church, is currently involved in seeking financing for the building. Incidental to that is the obtaining of bids from contractors so we can have a clearer understanding of how much our new building will cost. We are now waiting on the various contractors to give us their prices so we can proceed with getting the necessary loan. Please pray for us and Bethel as this work progresses. Thank you for your prayers and financial support, and we know our God will bless you richly for them.

  • Sunday, April 23, 2000 -- This Easter Sunday saw several of our members go away to visit their families instead of staying at home. Thus, our Sunday School attendance fell a bit, with 36 present. We were up two from last week in the Morning Worship with 47 attending. There were six first time visitors. Last Sunday evening following services our hearts were blessed when a man came to know the Lord as savior. We baptized him following the morning services. Please continue to remember us in your prayers and finances, and we pray for God's blessings upon you all.

  • Sunday, April 30, 2000 -- If you can explain why the Lord's people do some of the things they do, you are probably far ahead of the rest of us. Many of those who strove so diligiently to be here last week for Easter services were absent today. Thirty-nine attended Sunday School, while forty-four were present for the Morning Worship. There was one first time visitor. We continue to move forward on our building project, if ever so slowly. Please remember to pray for us in this endeavor and in our labor of taking the Word of God to the people of Hope. We thank you all for your prayers in the past, as well as for your financial support. It is our prayer that God would richly bless each of you as you labor for Him.

    1999 REPORTS

  • Sunday, April 4, 1999 -- The month of April got off to a good start on this Easter Sunday morning. Although Sunday School attendance was down a little (19), Bro. Fulmer reports a total of 33 present for the morning worship services, with 8 first time visitors. Some of the "regulars" were absent due to illness and being out of town. Also, Bro. Fulmer was used of the Lord to lead one young lady to Jesus Christ as Savior this week as he visited her in the hospital. Please pray for this one in relation to both her physical and spiritual needs. As always, we thank you for your prayers and financial support, and may God richly bless you for your faithfulness.

  • Sunday, April 11, 1999 -- This week Landmark was affected by the post-Easter slump (as many churches were). Fourteen were present for Sunday School and nineteen attended the Morning Worship. Several mission members were not present due to their work schedules. However, we are happy to report that Sis. Duke, who has had numerous health problems lately, was back in the services. We have already seen ten first time visitors this month (more than the entire month of March), and this is encouraging. Please continue to remember us in your prayers, and, as always, we thank you for your faithful financial support of this work. May God richly bless each of you.
  • Sunday, April 18, 1999 -- The Lord continues to bless the work at Hope. Twenty were present for Sunday School and 28 attended the Morning Worship. Best of all, the Lord added four more members to Landmark MBM. A lady and her three daughters came forward expressing a desire to unite with Landmark on the promise of a letter. We can only praise our great God for His goodness and thank you for your faithfulness in supporting this work.
  • Sunday, April 25, 1999 -- The actions of God's people are sometimes very confusing. Today our Sunday School attendance dropped drastically to twelve. However, the number in the Morning Worship service was the same as last week, 28 -- with 5 first time visitors! We continue to thank God for His great blessings and for the additions and visitors we have seen over the past few weeks. We thank each of you for your prayers and financial support. May God richly bless you.

    1998 REPORTS

  • Sunday, April 5 -- Attendance in all services held pretty steady today with the return of two of the mission members who had been out of town. Unfortunately, there were no visitors in any of the services. Five members from Bethel MBC were present in the afternoon services. Bethel realizes the urgency of getting a man on the field as soon as possible. We continue to look for the man we believe God has for this work, and we have committed ourselves to "effectual, fervent" prayer in this matter. We are still waiting to hear from some of those we have contacted about coming in view of a call. We ask for your continued prayers in this matter. More churches have been added to our list of regular supporters, and for this we are thankful. May God richly bless each of you.
  • Sunday, April 12 -- Our attendance today was up in the afternoon services, even with one of our "regulars" absent due to illness. This was due to the presence of two visitors, the first to the afternoon services. This couple had also been present in the morning worship services, where attendance was also up. Please continue to pray for us in our search for a missionary for Landmark MBM. We are praying that God will lay a burden on the heart of the man He has for this work, AND that He will direct Bethel MBC to that man. We appreciate your prayers as well as your financial support.
  • Sunday, April 19 -- We rejoiced to see a total of 28 present in the afternoon services. Several members of New Home MBC in Stephens, Arkansas visited in the worship services to offer their support and encouragement to the mission members. Not only did we appreciate their presence, but we enjoyed the special music they brought as well. We continue to seek God's leadership in finding a missionary. Please pray for us concerning this matter, and, once again, we thank you for your prayers and financial support.
  • Sunday, April 26 -- Once again this week our hearts are filled with rejoicing. There were 3 visitors in the morning services, with one of them showing a great interest in being a part of this mission work. This is a man with a 19 year-old daughter who says he wants to be an active and working member of one of the Lord's churches. Please pray for him as he attempts to determine where the Lord would have him serve. We had 12 in the afternoon services with the man that was mentioned above back for that time of worship. Also, there is good news concerning a missionary. Bro. Travis Judkins from Pueblo, Colorado with be with us next Sunday, May 3, in view of a call to the Hope work. Bro. Judkins has been pastoring in Colorado for the past 17 years. Please pray that he will have a safe trip here and back home and that as the Lord makes His will known -- to Bro. Judkins and to Bethel MBC -- that we will accept it and glorify Him in all things. AND, we finally got the new sign made to go out in front of the building. As soon as we can get it mounted and take a picture of it, we will post it on the photo page of this report. We know we could not carry on this work without your prayers and your financial support, so we thank you once more for these.
