MAY REPORTS

  • Sunday, May 7, 2000 -- One family was on vacation and another stayed home with an ill family member, and the absence of these two really had an effect on attendance today at Landmark. Twenty-nine were present for Sunday School and 34 attended the Morning Worship service. There was one first time visitor. Please continue to pray for this work and for the sponsoring church, Bethel, as we seek to enter into a building program in Hope. Thank you for your prayers and financial support, and we pray that God may richly bless you all.

  • Sunday, May 14, 2000 -- Sometimes, as we well know, there is no logical explanation why God's people do as they do. Sunday School attendance at Landmark was down for a second straight week, with 28 present. Thirty-six made it in time for the Morning Worship services, and there were two first time visitors. We are happy to report that one young lady was led to the Lord recently on visitation. Please remember her in your prayers -- that she would be submissive to the Lord's will for her life concerning baptism and church membership. We thank you for your prayers for this work in the past and ask that you continue to remember us before the Lord. We also appreciate your faithful financial support and pray for the Lord's blessings upon you.

  • Sunday, May 21, 2000 -- We are thankful to report that, after a couple of low weeks, our attendance has rebounded. Forty-eight were present for Sunday School, and 60 attended the Morning Worship services today at Landmark, including 4 first time visitors. We are praying for dry weather so we can get the rest of our property cleared and our slab poured as we begin work on the new building. Please remember us in these efforts. As always, words cannot express our gratefulness for your prayers and offerings. Please continue to remember us, and we pray for God's blessings upon you.

  • Sunday, May 28, 2000 -- The Memorial Day weekend took its toll today. Sunday School attendance was down from last week, with 34 present; forty-four attended the Morning Worship services. Although there were visitors present, there were no first time visitors. We are thankful to God for His blessings and to all our supporters for their prayers and offerings. Please continue to remember this work before the Lord, and may God richly bless you all.

    1999 REPORTS

  • Sunday, May 2, 1999 -- This month got off to another good start with 17 in Sunday School and 28 in the Morning Worship services, including one first time visitor. This is the third week in a row that the worship service attendance has totaled 28 and for that sort of consistency, we are truly thankful. Please continue to pray for Bro. Fulmer as he visits and witnesses of Christ in this town of 10,000+. The influence of Landmark MBM is reaching beyond Hope, into the communities nearby. The Lord continues to bless, and we continue to be quite optimistic for this work. Thank you for your prayers and financial support, and may God richly bless you all.

  • Sunday, May 9, 1999 -- Mother's Day proved to be a good day attendance wise for Landmark MBM. We had 27 in Sunday School and 33 in the Morning Worship services. We are greatly encouraged by the consistent numbers in the worship services. We give all credit and all praise to our great God. Please continue to remember Bro. Fulmer and Landmark MBM in your prayers, and we thank you so much for your faithful financial support.
  • Sunday, May 16, 1999 -- Attendance continues to be good at Landmark MBM. We praise the Lord for 23 in Sunday School and 32 in the Morning Worship, with three first time visitors. One couple indicated an interest in joining the work following the morning services. We are also thankful for the decision by the Arkansas State Mission Project to direct funds for the upcoming quarter to Landmark MBM. We are looking at needing to build a new sanctuary due to water and termite damage on the old one. Just this week the exterminators uncovered some major damage to the building. Termites have eaten away part of the base plate and several inches of studs in the section of the building that connects the sanctuary with the fellowship hall. It appears that we may need to go into a building program a lot sooner than we had imagined. Please pray for us in these decisions. We are grateful for your prayers and faithful support, and may God richly bless you all.
  • Sunday, May 23, 1999 -- Although the numbers slipped slightly, attendance was still good this week at Landmark MBM. Bro. Pat reports 19 for Sunday School and 26 for Morning Worship, with one first-time visitor. We are thankful that the Lord continues to bless this work and for your continued support. Please continue to remember the Fulmers and Landmark in your prayers.
  •

  • Sunday, May 30, 1999 -- As might be expected, our attendance fell some today, due in part to the holiday weekend. Sixteen were present for Sunday School, with twenty-two in the Morning Worship. The spirit continues to be good at Landmark MBM as the members continue to work, worship, and fellowship together. Please continue to pray for Bro. Fulmer, his family, and the work here. And, as always, we thank each one for their faithful support.

    1998 REPORTS

  • Sunday, May 3 -- We were thrilled to have Bro. Travis Judkins preaching for us in view of a call today. We continue to have visitors in both the morning and afternoon services. We had a total of 23 in this afternoon's worship. Eleven of these were members of Bethel MBC in Ashdown, and eleven were mission members and visitors. The man who we mentioned visited last week returned and brought his wife. Plus, there were two others who were visiting in the services. Continue to pray that God's will would be done in our search for a missionary. We are always thankful for your prayers and for your financial support.
  • Sunday, May 10 -- We continue to be excited at the presence of visitors in both the morning and afternoon services. Today, Mother's Day, we were blessed once again. One couple, former members of Liberty, were present in the morning services, and we pray that they will be drawn back into the Lord's service. We also had a good crowd and visitors in the afternoon services. We have made no decision as of yet about a missionary. Bro. Pat Fulmer, from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, informed us that he would accept our invitation to come in view of a call and will be with us on Sunday, May 24. Please remember him in your prayers and continue to pray for Bethel MBC and Landmark MBM.
  • Sunday, May 17 -- We were blessed to have five visitors in the afternoon services! This was in addition to having visitors in the morning services as well. The members of the mission are still encouraged as we continue our search for a missionary. Bro. Pat Fulmer will be with us this Sunday; we ask you to pray for him as he and his family travel to Arkansas from Alabama. Also, please continue to be in prayer for Bethel MBC as we will be making some decisions soon concerning calling a missionary. We thank you for your continued support.
  • Sunday, May 24 -- It was good to have Bro. Pat Fulmer and his family with us in the afternoon services. Bethel MBC had asked Bro. Fulmer, who is currently serving as a missionary in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to come in view of a call for the work at Hope. We enjoyed good services with him in both Ashdown and Hope. Please continue to pray for Bethel and Landmark MBM as we consider who God would have to serve Him on this field. Our attendance continued to hold steady in both services at Landmark although there were no visitors present. Of course, we attribute this to the long holiday weekend. Once more, we thank you for your prayers and your continued financial support of Landmark MBM.
  • Sunday, May 31 -- May ended with a lower attendance than we would have liked. While it would be easy to lay the blame off on such things as summer vacations, etc. we must admit that sometimes people, even God's people, don't do as they should. We request you prayers in this matter -- that those who have been attending will continue to be faithful and that those who have been visiting will be moved by God, if it is His will, to join with us in this work. In the Sunday evening services at Bethel, we voted to call a man as missionary to this work. We will announce who has been called as soon as the proper notifications can be made. We appreciate, as always, your financial support and most of all your prayers as we continue in this work.
