SEPTEMBER REPORTS
-
Sunday, September 3, 2000 -- The Labor Day weekend really took its toll on our attendance. Thirty-five were present for Sunday School today, and thirty-nine attended the Morning Worship services. We continue to look forward to the arrival of the Arkansas Mission Builders on Monday, September 18, and the work that will take place during that week. Our laminated beams will be set by then, and we will be ready to work. We hope to see many of you in Hope during the week. May God bless you for your continued prayers and support.
-
Sunday, September 10, 2000 -- Our attendance rebounded today, and how! We had a total of 53 in Sunday School and sixty present for the Morning Worship. There were five first time visitors. Attendance in the Evening Worship was in the forties, and as the invitation was given one lady came forward on her profession of faith, desiring Scriptural baptism and to become a member of this work. We plan to baptize her next Sunday evening. Please remember her in your prayers.
Our arched beams for the sanctury are up. The crew arrived last Friday and had them standing and braced by that afternoon. Pictures of the work can be seen by clicking on the photos icon on the main Landmark page. We are now ready for the arrival of the mission builders next Monday (the 18th). We look forward to working together with our brethren on this project. We hope we see you here. As always, thank your for your prayers and your financial support. May God richly bless you as your support this work.
-
Sunday, September 17, 2000 -- The Lord blessed us with another good attendance at Landmark. Fifty-one were present for Sunday School, and fifty-eight attended the Morning Worship services. There were two first time visitors. We also had another good attendance in our Sunday Evening worship services.
We are excited about the arrival of the Arkansas Mission Builders and the construction of our new building. We ask for your prayers, that all will go well and that we will see good progress during the week. The appreciate the efforts of these men who give their time, strength, and energy to help erect buildings for the Lord's churches. As always, we thank you for your prayers and financial support and pray that God will richly bless each one of you.
-
Sunday, September 24, 2000 -- Forty-seven souls attended Sunday School, and there were 53 in the Morning Worship services today at Landmark. We had two first time visitors. We continue to thank God for His wonderful blessings upon this work.
Thanks mostly to the labors of the Arkansas Mission Builders, we now have a building started at our new location. Although we did not get as far along as we had hoped, we did make great progress on this project. The Builders plan to return October 2-4 to complete the task of getting it "in the dry." Please pray for them as they travel and work on this building.
As always we thank you for your faithful support of this work through your prayers and finances. We know that without God's blessings and faithful supporting churches we would have been unable to achieve the accomplishments we have enjoyed. May God bless each of you.
1999 REPORTS
-
Sunday, September 5, 1999 -- The Monday holiday for Labor Day affected attendance at Landmark this week. Sixteen were present for Sunday School and 22 for the Morning Worship, with one first time visitor. We are in the process of making final revisions to the plans for our new building. We appreciate your prayers and financial support and ask that you continue to remember Landmark MBM as you go to God in prayer.
-
Sunday, September 12, 1999 -- Due to the illness of a couple of our members, attendance was about the same as last week. This couple usually brings several people with them, and their absence will often affect the number present. However, we did have 13 present for Sunday School and 22 for Morning Worship, with 4 first time visitors. Bro. Fulmer will be preaching Thursday and Friday nights in revival services at his sponsoring church. Please continue to remember him, his family, and Landmark MBM in your prayers. As always, thank you for your faithfulness to pray for us and for your financial support. May God bless each of you.
-
Sunday, September 19, 1999 -- We had another wonderful day in the Lord today at Landmark MBM. Thirty (30) were present for Sunday School, and 35 attended the Morning Worship, with SEVEN first time visitors! We have many attending who need to make decisions for the Lord. Please pray for these, that they would be obedient to the God's will for their lives. We thank you for your prayers and financial support and pray that God will bless you for your faithfulness.
-
Sunday, September 26, 1999 -- The Lord continues to bless and to add to Landmark MBM! With a number of our regulars out due to illness, we still had 22 present for Sunday School, and 28 attending the Morning Worship, with 5 first time visitors. On top of that, we had 3 more additions, with two coming on profession of faith and for baptism and one by letter. In addition to those blessings, the Hope City Board approved our rezoning request, and we are now ready to go ahead with the clearing of the property in preparation for the construction of a new church house. We thank all of your for your prayers and financial support and just ask that you continue to remember us before the Lord. We praise and glorify Him for the good reports that are coming out of Hope!
1998 REPORTS
-
Sunday, September 6 -- Bro. Fulmer reports a good attendance (17) in Sunday School and the morning worship services, with several visitors present. Some of these have indicated a strong interest in the work. The evening attendance was somewhat lower, but Bro. Fulmer remains encouraged in the work. As for the housing situation, we have good news. Bro. Pat reports that they have sold their house in Alabama. This came at the end of last week. He continues to look for a house in Hope and has made an offer on one within about a mile of the church house. Please continue to pray for the Fulmers in this matter. Once again, we at Bethel can only praise God for His goodness toward us and thank our sister churches for their prayers and financial support. May God richly bless you all!
-
Sunday, September 13 -- We were blessed once again this week with another addition! Although attendance was down a little in the morning services (we blame in on the remnants of Tropical Storm Francis), during the evening services a young lady of college age came forward expressing her desire to unite with Landmark MBM on promise of a letter. The Fulmers have sold their house in Alabama and are preparing to move to Hope, but they have not, as yet, found a house in the area. Please continue to pray for this situation. On Saturday evening (the 12th), we attended the First Union Association Youth Rally, where Bro. Fulmer gave a report on the Hope work and met with some of the area pastors. Bro. Pat continues to visit regularly, and this week he was blessed to have his wife accompany him on his visitation. They report some very good visits for the effort. As always, thank you for your prayers and for your financial support, and we pray God's richest blessings upon you all.
-
Sunday, September 20 -- The Lord continues to bless the work in Hope. This week we had a total of 22 in the morning services, with one first-time visitor. Eleven of those returned for the evening worship. We also have good news on the housing front. The Fulmers' offer on a house in the area has been accepted. They have also been told that they can move into the house on a rental basis until the real estate deals in Tuscaloosa and Hope close. God continues to bless, and how thankful we are! We are also thankful for those of you who support this work with your prayers and offerings. We truly believe that God has supplied you to help us in this endeavor. If you would like for Bro. Fulmer to come and present a report on this work in person, you may contact him (at present) through Bethel MBC in Ashdown and pastor Jim Harris. May God continue to bless you all for your faithfulness to missions.
-
Sunday, September 27 -- We praise the Lord for His continued blessings! Attendance at Landmark MBM continues to be good with 24 in Sunday School and 25 in morning worship today. Of this number, there were three families which were first-time visitors, and two of those said they planned to return. This week Bro. and Sis. Fulmer will be returning to Alabama to close the sale of their house there. Please pray for them as they travel and as they drive into the teeth of Hurricane Georges. Also, please remember them in their purchase of a house in Hope. Although things look good in this area, it will still be 3 or 4 weeks before the deal closes and they can move in.
We are planning to attend the Arkansas State Association meeting in North Little Rock in November and will be looking forward to seeing many of you. As always, we thank God for your interest, your prayers, and, of course, your financial support. We pray His rich blessings upon you all.
