JUNE REPORT
Dear Brethren,
Jesus said in Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three are gathered
together in my name, there I am in the midst of them.” We know the
Lord is with us because the people of the mission are faithfully standing
fast in the Lord. We are holding steadfast in attendance even though
we are now meeting in a temporary building due to the sale of the
property at Center & Hempstead. The Lord has blessed us with a building
we do not have to rent. The lawyer who owns the building is allowing
us to meet in it and only pay utilities. We thank God for this blessing.
The building only holds about 60 people, but we do have one big room
we have divided into three rooms for Sunday School and an additional
room for our teen class.
We are getting close to being ready to pour the concrete for our parking
lot. The electricians are about 95% finished, and we are praying the sewer line will be finished sometime in July. Our people are faithful about cleaning and working on the building. We finished the painting, the cleaning of the floors for the carpet, and our ladies painted the cabinets in the fellowship hall. We have secured a man to do the finish wood trim, and look forward to the day we can enter the building and have services.
As I said, our attendance is holding firm; averages were 42 for Sunday
School, 46 for worship and there were two first time visitors. I am thankful for the members who continue to be faithful in going on visitation, and for an additional man who has joined in our visitation to help witness the saving grace of Jesus to this community.
Fifteen from the mission attended the First Union Associational Youth
Rally at White Oak Grove MBC. The MBSF at Southern Arkansas University presented a program and allowed a question and answer time concerning the MBSF program and its testimony on the college campus. We are thankful for this ministry and its influence upon our young people at such a critical time of their lives.
Thanks be to God for all who support us with prayers and finances. Please continue to pray for our sponsoring church, Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Ashdown, as they endeavor to pay off the indebtedness of our building. May God bless all who can help financially and with your prayers. Please come and see us if you are in the Hope area.
Your Missionary In Hope,
Patrick Fulmer,
