PARENTS LOVE EACH CHILD
BEST:
TO MOLLY, OUR BABY: I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED YOU BEST BECAUSE
WHILE ENDINGS ARE GENERALLY SAD, YOU ARE SUCH A JOY. YOU
READILY ACCEPTED THE MILK STAINED BIBS,THE LOWER BUNK, THE
USED AND CRACKED OR BROKEN TOYS, THE BABY BOOK THAT HAD
NOTHING WRITTEN IN IT EXCEPT A RECIPE FOR GRAHAM CRACKER
CRUST THAT SOMEONE HAD JAMMED BETWEEN THE PAGES. YOU WERE
THE ONE WE HELD ON TO SO TIGHTLY. YOU ARE THE LINK WITH
OUR PAST. A REASON FOR TOMARROW. YOU QUICKEN OUR STEPS,
SQUARE OUR SHOULDERS. RESTORE OUR VISION AND GIVE US A
SENSE OF HUMOR THAT SECURITY, MATURITY AND DURABILITY CAN'T
PROVIDE. WHEN YOUR OWN CHILDREN TOWER OVER YOU, YOU WILL
STILL BE OUR
BABY. AND WE LOVE YOU VERY MUCH.
Molly was a happy go lucky baby. Give her
something to play with and she was content. After
graduation from college she lived a year in Chicago. She
now is in the Pacific Northwest. I think it is too far
away! But she loves it. She is in the Social Work Field. In 2002 she went back to school at Portland State University for her Master. She will finish up in 2004
Molly was very active in
the Womans Center on campus. Below are some links to things
she is interested in. She also is a wonderful writer. She
has won several writing awards. I have also included a
couple of creative writing links for all you would be
writers!
I want to share a poem Molly wrote for me when
she was 15 :)
~MOTHER~
YOU ARE MY LOVING MOTHER, MY ONE AND TRUE FRIEND. AND I
KNOW I CAN DEPEND AND COUNT ON YOU UNTIL THE VERY END.
I KNOW I DON'T ALWAYS TREAT YOU KIND AND THESE FEELINGS I
DON'T ALWAYS SHOW. BUT, I'LL ALWAYS LOVE YOU, DEAR MOTHER,
WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL,
LOVE, MOLLY
