Independent Consultant, EDI Services (1994 to 1999): utilized a Translation Software program that allowed me to take one client's data, map it into another client's format, and then pass it into that
Client’s application to be processed.

Barilla USA –Lincolnshire, IL

Transaction set troubleshooting (08/99 to 09/99):  Client needed an emergency fix for an 880/Invoice with special requirements. Transaction set was repaired, tested, and implemented one week before deadline.

Camcar Textron – Rockford, IL

Software upgrade project (11/98 to 06/99) Client needed to upgrade both UNIX and Gentran Mentor 5.1.1, as well as upgrading ANSI X.12 version to 4010 to comply with the 8-character date requirement.  Completed other backlogged projects.

Cooper Lighting System – Elk Grove Village, IL

Software conversion (07/98 to 10/98) Converted existing TSI Translation software to Gentran NT.  Project completed well within the deadline set.

Boise Cascade Office Supplies – Itasca, IL

EDI Implementation (11/97 to 08/98) Worked with EC managers and vendors to implement new trading partners.  Documented applications and transaction maps as part of upgrade to Gentran 6.0.  Trained Boise employees on general mapping techniques and Gentran 6.0.

Messaging Services Planner for eight Sears Business Groups, including Discover Card, Dean Witter, and SPS Payment Systems.  Worked with clients, salespeople, and development to implement messaging and network solutions for these companies.  Assisted clients in designing software to be used by their customers.  Trained clients to use the Application Access Facility for Advantis/IE Peer System (EDI/Messaging Network).  Provided Help Desk Support for EDI Network as needed.  Worked with proprietary-format, non-ANSI X.12 transactions, as defined by my clients.

Communications Analyst, EDI Planning, and Customer Support (04/88 to 03/93)

Customer Support and Planning for Sears Technology Services EDI Network.  Assisted with development of EDI software used by Sears, Roebuck Trading Partners.  Trained clients on custom EDI Translation Software Package (MEDIA).  From 1989 (start of the Sears EDI project) to end of 1991, I was responsible for full-cycle testing and implementation of 800 customers on the EDI Network.  EDI Planner for Sears Communications Company (marketing division of Sears Technology Services) Hub clients, including HEDIC, Ecolab, and Transamerica.  Wrote application to track billing for proprietary network usage, using dBase IV.

Administrative Assistant for Director of Quality Assurance (04/87 to 04/88)

Responsible for hardware and software inventory in the Data Department.  Wrote dBase IV program to track equipment and software, used in conjunction with INFO Management System.  Coordinated personnel moves with Admin Services Department.  Worked with Director on budget and expense verification.
