Cleft-Affected Adults Mailing List Information Page
Hi! I'm Lisa Ann, born in 1961 with a unilateral complete cleft lip and cleft palate. I've been thinking for awhile that there is a real need for a mailing list for all of us Adult Clefties to get together and talk about what it's like, growing up in a society that places so much emphasis on external perfection.
If you'd like to subscribe to the list, please click on the icon below and you'll be walked through the subscription process. At this point, I've set the list up for "permission only" subscriptions - meaning that I'll review each request before adding the requester. My intention in doing this is only to prevent trolls and spammers. I'll probably review this policy in a few months and eliminate this requirement.
This is an unmoderated list, which means that no one is going to be censoring your posts prior to them being sent out to the list. I do have a few requests, though; keep the language clean, since I've set this up as a list suitable for ages 16 and over. Don't be nasty to the other members; I'd just as soon keep the flame wars to a minimum. If I feel that anyone is posting inappropriately, that person will be notified via private email and kindly asked to cease and desist. If they don't cease and desist, they will be unsubscribed and not allowed to return until I feel they've seen the error of their ways.

In addition to the Adult_CA mailing list, I've also created Cleft-Teen, geared towards teens and younger adults, ages 13 to 22-23. It has the same rules as the Adult list, only the ages have changed!
