Bethany Jane Chapman Born March 12, 1998 eating chocolate cake on her first birthday Bethany Jane proudly carries the names of her great great great great grandmorther, Bethany Dean Harden and her great great great grandmother Bethenia Jane Harden Coe. When I learned that my son and his wife Rebecca were pregnant, I suggested the name to them never dreaming that they would use it. The rather eery thing is that I never told them about the middle name "Jane". On Christmas Day, 1997 my son called me to tell me that their child was a girl and she would be named "Bethany Jane" - it was my favorite Christmas gift. When I began my genealogy research in 1995, it was through a series of events that caused me to want to "find my roots". Both of my parents had died. My elderly aunt with whom I had spent my childhood summers with had just passed away, and a cousin of mine had sent me a thick typed document of information about the "Coe" side of my family. From this packet of valuable information, the internet, and the LDS church resources, I was able to validate much of Ann Armstrong's information as well as disprove some of it. Some of the other surnames I am interested in are: Bowen, Merryman, Edwards, Brown, Landon, Sebring and McNutt. Below you will find links to special pages I developed for my primary surnames - complete with outline genealogy reports and links to other sites. Table of ContentsFamily Ties Surnames of InterestI have also developed special pages with some of the more common surnames and links to other pages that are also researching these surnames.
