"My parents got Dublin for me when I was 16, and sick in the hospital. I think I instantly got better when I saw him, a fat little red ball of fluff and energy. Everyone said, "Oh look, an Irish Setter puppy!" Hence, the name Dublin was born. He has always been the atypical Golden. Won't swim, won't retrieve, and is a wonderful guard dog and protective
of me. We have been through all of my "formative" years together. He can be described as none other than my canine soul mate. I hope he can sit by my side at my 30th birthday party, too, in the year 2000."

"Hoggy"
(BIS, BISS Ch. Turngold's Boss Hogg SDHF)
Whelped January 22, 1988
owned & loved by Shelly Frew, Turngold Goldens
Mallorytown, Ontario, Canada
turngold@recorder.ca http://www.mts.net/~bwaite/breeders/turngold.htm
"First born in a litter of nine, it was suggested by a couple of breeders that Hoggy was *pet quality*, not show quality and we should part with him. My response was "no way, just wait and see, he'll win a Best in Show at his very first show. haha" Well, at his very first show he won the Sporting Group, and almost Best in Show. Two years later, he did win a Best In Show, won the Canadian National Specialty, other Specialities, many Sporting Groups, and obtained over 125 Show Dog Hall of Fame points, as well as 14 U.S. points and the #4 Golden in Canada title, *always* breeder/owner handled.
Hoggy's a dog with heart. His love of showing & travelling was always based on a love of being with me. He gives 150% no matter what I ask of him. He lives a life of leisure now, going for walks, retrieving tennis balls, hoarding toys and being a lap dog. Of course, he's always here to protect the house from intruders (barking at them from the upstairs bedroom!). He's a very special boy."

"Tallee is our 'sofa with fur' -- well, our real sofa has fur too -- his is just more firmly attached! This sovereign couch potato (Couch Potato Xtraordinaire) was our first Golden and is such a treasured part of our family -- we couldn't imagine life without him. His elder statesman's ways and bemused tolerance of the younger crowd's antics always bring a grin."

"Spring is Blockie's full sister from another litter. She's a beautiful girl with a very sweet face and expression. She loves to run, swim, and play but most of all, she likes to cuddle with her Dad (my husband Ed)."

"Jimmy" and "Jarvis"
Pam Durr
dapakibe@bmi.net
"Jarvis is 10 years old. He is the one with the white face. Jimmy is 12 years old. These wonderful gentlemen had been raised together as puppies. I recently adopted them from Greensboro, NC into my family. They are so loving and gentle with everyone. You'll find their story here."
