This page is for my parents who have both passed away. My Mom was British and my Dad American. They met during World War II in England. Dad was a good lookin' blonde haired, blue eyed soldier boy that stole my Mom's heart. Mom worked in an aircraft factory during the war building airplanes, Rosie the Riverter. From the stories I remember her telling it wasn't easy to live in that time. Friends were lost and found, I remember her telling about counting the planes as they came back and wondering whose it was that didn't. Dad was sent to France shortly before I was born then finally back home. He was from a small town in PA and I would imagine very glad to see it again. He didn't get to see me till I was a little over a year old by the time Mom and I finally made it here!! Mom and Dad celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 29, 1994. Fifty years of marriage and some rough times but always good ones also. They both were retired and belonged to a campgrounds where they spent alot of the summer just finally enjoying everything they had worked for and of course the grandchildren and the great-grandchildren. Mom died on March 21, 1995 and Dad on Jan. 3, 1996. Guess he didn't want to give her to long of a rest!! But they are together again. Sadly missed by all. Goodnight, God Bless Mom and Dad.
