Our Family :

David, Hilary, Robin and Daniel

David is from Barry in Glamorgan, and trained as a GP in Aberystwyth after Medical School at Leeds, and previously worked as a Redcoat at Barry Island camp.

David is currently working as a GP at Machynlleth, mid-Wales. Previously we were at Tauranga, B O P , and then Seddon Memorial Hospital, Gore, a small community hospital, in a district of about 18,000 people, in New Zealand.

Hilary is from Hull in East Yorkshire, and is a Medical Secretary.

Robin Daniel Joseph CHURCH was born 1997.

He arrived at Southland Hospital, Kew, Invercargill, and came to live with us in Gore. He weighed 4,010 grams, and 8 lb 13 oz on arrival, and has lots of dark hair that stands on end.

September, 1999 : Robin is now 23 months, loads of teeth, nice and sharp, and walking happily, so long as we want to go the same way ! We are back in Wales, living in Aberystwyth by the sea, which he loves to watch when it is pouring down and blowing a gale.

Robin has always liked books, although this rare picture, above left, was taken while he was not trying to eat one !

He had such lovely curls Mum for ages would not let him lose them, but one day I came back from a trip to the barbers' looking more boyish.

Then he grew stripey hair all over so he could play at Tiggers - and loves bouncing on our bed.

Robin had been looking forwards to having a baby of his own for some time, and was pleased when his brother eventually found the way out of Mummy's tummy.

He wanted to play with Daniel all the time - but unfortunately Daniel was usually more interested in eating and sleeping.

Daniel Andrew Thomas CHURCH was born 1999.

He arrived at Ysbyty Bronglais, Aberystwyth, Wales, at 8 lb 4 oz, and 3,750 grams, and is growing well.

July, 2000 : now they are both, just about, walking, and always busy. Robin sometimes helps Daddy at work, and Daniel helps Mummy in the garden by eating the weeds.

Here's Daniel in his cot, left, and using his thumb, right.

Below, left and right are the two brothers together, having a cuddle indoors at left, and getting ready to go out, at right.

Sorry about the Gap - 2006, they are both much bigger now, and both boys attend Ysgol PenYBryn, and are learning Welsh. Hilary has a digital camera, so I should really get some photos put on here from the 'gap years', and, between a LOT of gardening and home decoration, etc David is training to work on the Talyllyn Railway as a GUard. The boys are keen helping with 'tracksiders'. Hilary is busy stripping walls and repainting, and David is currently a Councillor on the Tywyn (Town) Community Council, which also keeps him very busy, as well as trying to keep this website going !
