In the name of God amen       I John Thring  of Steeple Langford in the County of Wilts husbandman being sick in body but of good and perfect memory thanks be unto almighty God do ordain and make this my last will and testament on the twentyseventh day of June in the year of our Lord god 1631 in manner and form as followeth   Imprimis  I give and bequeath my soul to almighty God my maker and redeemer and my body to be buried in the churchyard of Steeple Langford  Item I give and bequeath to Robert Thring my son Ten Pounds in money to be paid unto him at Michaelmas next come twelve months  Item  I give and bequeath to Elizabeth Greene my daughter Ten Pounds in money to be paid unto her at Michaelmas next Item I give and bequeath to Joell Thring my son Ten Pounds in money to be paid unto him at Michaelmas next  Item I give and bequeath to Margaret Thring my daughter Ten Pounds in money to be paid unto her at Michaelmas next that shall be in the year of our Lord God 1632  Item  I give and bequeath to John Thring my son Ten Pounds in money to be paid at Michaelmas which shall be in the year of our Lord God 1632 and one great coffer 1 great kettle and 1 little pot  Item  I give and bequeath to Margaret Thring my wife forty shillings every quarter of the year to be paid unto her so long as she shall happen to live and no longer Item  I give and bequeath to her my said wife more during her life the chamber at the southend of the house and the little garden now in the ¬¬¬..?   Item  I give and bequeath to her my said wife all my ¬¬¬ ?   except 1 great chest  1 long tub  and 1 great wooden trow  Item  I give and bequeath to Nicholas Thring my son the lease of my tenement with all the right title with possession   ?    interest and   ?  which I have  ?  right to give by virtue of the lease set lying and being in Steeple Langford  Item  I give and bequeath to him my said son more all the rest of my goods and chattles whom I make sole  ?  and sole executor of this my last will and testament   Item  I do ordain and make overseers of this my last will and testament John Rowden of Hanging Langford and Thomas Whithart of Little Badminton
