I Henry Rowden of the parish of Stapleford in the County of Wilts being of sound mind and
memory do give and bequeath unto my eldest Son Charles Rowden of Stapleford aforesaid all
that my Freehold Dwelling House Outhouses Gardens and Orchard where I now reside
formerly called Upjohn's containing about one Rood of Land situate and lying on the left hand
side of the road leading from Stapleford Turnpike Gate to Woodford  Also the Garden
opposite called the Long Garden for his own sole use purpose and disposal  And in case of his
decease before mine it is my Will that the whole value thereof be divided between his
surviving Children  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this
Seventeenth Day of June in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty four

where I now reside formerly called Upjohn's. (Henry had renamed it 
Elm Tree Cottage) - about one rood of land on left hand side of road leading from Stapleford
Turnpike Gate to Woodford.  Also the garden opposite called the Long Garden. His children.  
           
                                   
          No ex.appointed in will, so to Charles, one of the lawful sons and one of the next of
kin, shoemaker, Charles Nicholason of Barford, Gent., and James Hayward of The Close,
New Sarum, Gent.
