THIRD ANNUAL BRANDON FAMILY REUNION AT WYLIE

Relatives Gather At Home of Mack White For Enjoyable Occasion.

Democrat
August 19, 1937

Relatives from various places gathered at Mack Whites, Sunday for the third annual Brandon reunion. The reunion has been at Mrs. Annie Whites the two previous years, but due to ill health of Mrs. White, it was held at her son's, Mack White. Everyone brought well filled baskets and dinner was spread beneath the shade trees.

Those attending this reunion are: Mrs. Lelia Dunihoo and children, Debs, James and Jack; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Dunihoo; Mr. and Mrs. James Creig and son, Fred; Mr. and Mrs. Crockett Webb and daughter; J. D. Creig; Mr. Short and Mrs McKenzie all of Sulphur Springs, Rev. Pierce Burns and wife and children, Norman and Joyce of Grandfield, Okla; Mr. and Mrs. Junious Rhioten of Carrollton, Texas; Bruce Creig of Greenville; Mrs. Ruby Alcorn of Copeville, Texas; May and Becca Lynn; Mr. and Mrs. Mark Burns and children, Juanita and Margie; Mr. and Mrs. Wilton Ledbetter and daughter, Vilas Faye; Miss Pauline Long all of Dallas; Mrs. Annie White and daughter, Ruth; Ernest White and sons, Jeff and Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Garland Hickman; Mr. and Mrs. Mack White and son, Hobart, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Thompson and children. Billy Mack and Nelba June; Mrs. Tom Long and children, T. J., Hester and Galiton; Tom Burns, Mr. and Mrs. Junius Burns and daughter Oleta; Mrs and Mrs. Orville Phillips all of Wylie.

The elderly people enjoyed a long chat of olden times. Junius Rholton had recently visited the old home state of the elderly relatives, so of course he had news for them all.

A water melon feast was held in the afternoon. Kodaks were in use by several people who wished to have pictures of the great grandmothers and great grandchildren.

In the late part of the afternoon everyone left for their homes in a happy spirit promising to return next year. Wylie Herald.
