COMBS FAMILY

submitted by Kim Combs Elkins

Here is the info I have on my Combs ancestors in Collin County, TX. My paternal gg-grandparents, Henry and Parrale Fogg Combs, were living in Collin Co., in 1870, when their son John Henry, was born on March 21st. According to a 1920 Hardeman Co., TX, census, both Henry and Parrale were born in Missouri.

John Henry married Emma Francis Stanley (b. 1866), from Pritchett, Upshur Co., TX, and had seven children, all surviving to adulthood. John Henry and Emma both died in 1949, in Lamesa, Dawson Co., TX, and are buried there.

I do not know if/when Henry and Parrale Combs ever moved from Collin Co, or if they had other children.
