FAMILY REUNION AT PARR HOME WHEN NINE SONS RETURN

Courier
July 31, 1919

Every Member of Family Gathers Around the Festive Board, Other Wylie News.

Mr. and Mrs. Matt Parr, who live six miles northwest of town [Wylie] entertained their nine sons last week. These nine sons are pretty well scattered over the United States and they were all at home with mother and father again. Rice Parr was there from Portland, Oregon; Will Parr and family from San Angelo, Roy Parr and wife of Philadelphia, Pa.; Preston Parr from Electra, Texas. The other boys live in this community. It was a joyous occasion to have them all home again. Mr. Parr came to this community from Kentucky thirty-seven years ago. He is a successful farmer, a good citizen and has raised a fine family of boys. He owns one of the best farms in Collin county.
