1. Issac M. "Ike" SMITH. Born on 28 January 1838 in TN. He died in Celina, Collin, TX on 30 January 1922 at age 84. Buried in Cottage Hill Cemetery, Celina, TX.

On the 1870 Collin County US Federal Census, Ike had the following issue:

On 24 December 1857 when Issac M. "Ike," at age 19. He married Jane Elizabeth SELLERS, b. on 5 January 1837. Jane Elizabeth died in Celina, Collin Co., TX on 6 Feb 1926, at 89. She is buried in Cottage Hill Cemetery, Celina, TX.

Issac M. "Ike" Smith and Jane Elizabeth Sellers had the following children:

i. William D.. Born in 1858 in TN. William D. died in Celina, Collin, TX in 1938, he was 80. Buried in Cottage Hill Cemetery, Cottage Hill, TX.

William D. married Jennie CHOATE.

ii. Janie Belle. Born in 1860 in TN. Janie Belle died bef 1870, she was 10.

She may have died before the family reached Collin County because she is not on the 1870 census.

iii. Cleopatra. Born in 1864 in TN.

iv. Ike Lee Isaac. Born on 3 Jun 1866 in TX. Ike Lee Isaac died in Cottage Hill, Collin, TX on 1 Dec 1964, he was 98. Buried in Cottage Hill Cemetery, Celina, TX.

Ike Lee Isaac married Emma I. BIRCH. Born on 15 Dec 1867 in Celina, Collin, TX. Emma I. died in Celina, Collin, TX on 23 Jul 1958, she was 90. Buried in Cottage Hill Cemetery, Celina, TX.

2 v. James Pallas (1869-1931)

vi. Nancy Alice. Born in 1872 in TX. Nancy Alice died in Collin, TX in 1961, she was 89. Buried in Cottage Hill Cemetery, TX.

On 10 Dec 1891 when Nancy Alice was 19, she married Jesse G. GROSS. Born in 1862. Jesse G. died in Collin, TX in 1929, he was 67. Buried in Cottage Hill Cemetery, TX.

vii. Cora Ann. Born in 1873 in TX.

On 10 Dec 1891 when Cora Ann was 18, she married Ben CHOATE.

viii. Charles B.. Born in 1878 in TX.

ix. Pearl F.. Born in 1879 in TX. Pearl F. died in Collin, TX in 1931, he was 52. Buried in Cottage Hill Cemetery, TX.

Pearl F. married Beulah HAMILTON.

Issac M. "Ike" SMITH descends from a long line of Tennessee born ancestors. His parents are Daniel Smith (b. 27 Feb. 1778) and Amy Neal, daughter of Pallas Smith and Sarah Moore. Ike's grandparents are Daniel Smith (19 Oct. 1807) and Mary Grandstaff. Ike's great-grandparents are Edward Smith and Catherine Stumph and Nicholas Grandstaff. 

Edward is the earliest proven ancestor. He married in Culpepper, Virginia about 1739 but probably was born about 1720 in Maryland. He died at about 87 years old in Carter County, Virginia, in the spring of 1807. He married about 1739 to Catherine Stumph. Nothing is known of her life or death, but Edward married second to Catherine Stonecypher in 1757. Catherine must have also predeceased him, for Edward married again about 1798 in Carter Co., Tennessee to another Catherine, said by old timers to have been another Stonecypher, a niece of the second wife, and sister of Mary Stonecypher Smithpeters. 

Second Generation

> 2. James Pallas SMITH. Born in 1869 in TX. James Pallas died in 1931, he was 62. Buried in Cottage Hill Cemetery, TX.

On 18 Dec 1890 when James Pallas was 21, he married Sarah Leona Onna ANDREWS, daughter of ANDREWS. Born in 1869. Sarah Leona Onna died in Collin, TX in 1957, she was 88. Buried in Cottage Hill Cemetery, TX.

They had the following children:

i. Edith.

Edith married Ed Stone.

ii. Joseph Clifton.

He was called J.C. by Isaac Lee Smith, his brother.

iii. B May.

iv. Everett. Born on 14 Oct 1891 in TX. Everett died in Collin, TX on 21 Feb 1909, he was 17. Buried in Cottage Hill Cemetery.

3 v. Isaac Lee "Lee" (1892-1963)

vi. James D. Jimmy Dee. Born in 1897. James D. Jimmy Dee died in 1981, he was 84.

His wife was Hazel ... .

James D. Jimmy Dee married Mabel Clair SMITH. Born in 1900. Mabel Clair died in 1981, she was 81.

Third Generation

> 3. Isaac Lee "Lee" SMITH. Born on 16 Dec. 1892 in Celina, Collin, TX. Isaac Lee "Lee" died in Dallas, Dallas County, TX on 28 Feb. 1963 at age 70. Lee was buried on 1 March 1963 in Cottage Hill Cemetery, Celina, TX.

About 1909, when Lee was 16, he married Mary "Alla" WILLIAMS, daughter of J. Newton "Newt" WILLIAMS (1871-1946) & Flora McBRIDE (1867-1944). Alla was born on 8 Dec 1894 in Celina, Collin, TX. Alla died in Celina, Collin, TX on 4 March 1984 at age 89. She is buried in Cottage Hill Cemetery, Celina, TX.

Alla was an only child.

Lee Smith and Alla Williams had the following children:

i. Loreta

ii. Jimmy.

Jimmy married first Zela Johnstone and they have one son, Steve. Zela is a twin of Vela Johnstone. Steve, probably named after Vela's brother, Steve Johnstone. Jimmy married a second time after Zela's death. This wife was a high school sweetheart.

iii. Charles W.

iv. Dwight Leon
