YATES FAMILY HOLDS REUNION AT CLIMAX

McKinney Weekly Democrat-Gazette July 30, 1936

On Sunday, July 19, the family and friends of R. F. Yates met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Evans one mile south of Climax, for their annual reunion. Those present for this happy occasion were R. F. Yates and his eight children as follows: Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Skipworth and children of Lavon, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Recer and six children of Verona; Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Evans and daughter of Climax; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Yates and four children of Blue Ridge; Mrs. Joe Stephenson and two children of Dallas; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gann of Blue Ridge; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Oneal of McKinney, Lloyd Yates of Blue Ridge. Friends and other relatives were: Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Staton, Leonard, Route 1; A. R. Recer, Verona; Luther Recer, Verona; June Evans, Leonard; Miss Pauline Nelson, McKinney; Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Rupe and three children, Miss Jewell Ross, Master James Ray Ross, Mrs. Lizzie Rupe and Mrs. D. L. Moore, all of Rockwall; Miss Betty Francis Watson, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Stephenson and son of Dallas. At the noon hour a sumptuous lunch was served under the shade trees.
