BAKER CEMETERY - WESTON

CR289
Latitude 33.387N
Longitude 96.618W

Cemeteries of Collin County, Texas, Joy Gough

This cemetery covers about ¼ acre of land. It is surrounded by a fence. There is evidence that cows were in the cemetery at one time.

Some of the stones are down but no stones are damaged. Parts of the fence are new. The stones are in good condition and the cemetery is relatively clean. Most of the stones are for the Baker women and children. There is no evidence of the men being buried here. The cemetery is deeded in Vol 190, p 184, and is for 2 acres.

The Baker Cemetery is not listed in COLLIN COUNTY CEMETERY INSCRIPTIONS I, although it is on their map.

Buried in the Baker Cemetery:
Baker, Cassie Mrs. (No stone; just a funeral home marker) born 1858 - 1936
Baker, Elizabeth A. wife of P. M. born 9-1-1871 - 1-1-1909
Baker, Francis A. T. 11-23-1825 - 3-3-1883 Her happy soul has winged its way, To that bright eternal day.
Baker, Richard S. infant son of P. M. and E. A. born 3-25-1894 - 10 -27-1894
Baker, Infant daughter of P. M. and E. A. born 3-7-1891
Baker, Infant daughter of P. M. and E. A. born 1905
Sanstrom, Charles son of J. N. and S. E. born 11-26-1876 - 5-17-1878

Charles Sanstrom was probably the son of John Sanstrom, who was named as a trustee in the deed. The wife and children of P. M. could be the wife and children of R. M. Baker, who was the other trustee.
