BIGGS CEMETERY - LUCAS

Stinson Road.

Cemeteries of Collin County, Texas, Joy Gough

Benjamin Franklin Biggs married Aisle Jane Starr. They came to this area in 1867 and were the parents of seven children. One of their grandsons, Roy Biggs, was a merchant in Lucas for many years.

This cemetery is about 20 feet square. It is fenced with a sturdy wire fence to keep the cattle out. The cemetery is receiving some care. At the time of my visit, the grass needed to be cut. A large stone for Alsy Jane Biggs is the only one visible. If there are other stones, they are hidden in the grass. COLLIN COUNTY CEMETERY INSCRIPTIONS II lists about 6 graves for this cemetery.
