The Old First Baptist Church of Frisco, Texas, was built
shortly after the Frisco Railroad was built in 1902....
A small group of people interested in organizing a Baptist Church met on August
13, 1902. Brother E. E. King, at the time pastor of the First Baptist Church of
McKinney, and Brother A. J. Wharton met with the group....
Seventeen charter members included: J. H. Hill and wife, Alice Hill, daughter
Annie and son J. T. Hill; Mrs. M. D. Johnson, Mrs. Mary A. Condors; J. W. Talley
and wife, Mary Talley; E. T. Roach and wife, Cora I. Roach; D. Work and wife, Hettie L. Work; Mrs. Willie McDonald; Mrs. M. F. Brashears; W. G. Wolf and wife,
Mrs. W. G. Wolf, and daughter, Minnie Wolf....
