15 Oct, 29 Elizabeth. Thomas Boldinge of the parish of St Mildred of the city of Canterbury, yeoman, sick in body but of perfect memory... my body to be buried in the churchyard of St Mildred aforesaid, near unto the grave of Willyam Brooke deceased.
To Cicelie my wife all such goods as she brought unto me in marriage, now remaining at the house where I now do dwell & a bushel of wheaten meal of the best, a gallon of butter, 2 cheeses & a bushel of apples yearly during her life if she remain unmarried.
To Thomas Boldinge my godson, Willyam Cheesse son of Olive Cheesse, & to Thomas Cullinge my godson, to every of them a lamb.
To John Brighte my godson & to all other godchildren, 12d apiece.
To Margarett Allen, servant to Thomas Boldinge my son, 40/-.
To Willyam Boldinge my son œ20, to be paid to him his heirs or assigns by my son Thomas or his assigns in form as follows, that is to say œ5, parcel thereof, at the feast of the nativity of St John the Baptist next after my death, & yearly afterwards at the said feasts... œ5, until the foresaid œ20 shall be paid; & for the lack of payment my will is that it shall be lawfull to & for the said Willyam my son & his heirs & assigns to stress & strain in and upon my lands & the same distresses to withold & keep irreplegiable until the same shall be fully paid with all costs & damages by that occasion had & sustained.
The said Willyam my son shall within one quarter of a year next after my decease seal & deliver as his deed unto Thomas my son his heirs & assigns, a good & sufficient release of all his interest & right that he might claim to have out of my lands & tenements; & if upon request made to him by my said son Thomas or his assigns, he refuse to do so, then hee shall lose the benefit of this my Will & of the œ20 before given to him...
To my said wife all my wood & other goods now being in or at the house where I now do dwell.
All the rest of my goods & cattalls unbequeathed I give & bequeath to Thomas Boldinge my son, whom I make executor of this my present Will & Testament.
To the said Thomas Boldinge my son my tenements, houses & lands with the appurtenances, in the parishes of Crondall & Godmersham in the County of Kent to be had & holden to him & to his heirs & assigns in fee simple...

Will of Cycele Bowldinge [widow of the above Thomas Boulding] 1601
In the name of god amen. Cycely Bowldinge wydow of the parish of St Mary Bredyn of the city of Canterbury a little before her death and in the month of October or November anno domini 1601 being of good memory made her last will and testament nuncupative in manner and forme ffollowinge or her words to that effect that is she willed & gave unto Susan Cheese, her daughter's daughter her best bed whereon she lay and all the furniture belonginge to the same except one under her bed and a bolsterlyninge under the same bed with underfeatherbed and bolster ...
and her minde was that Anne Hauke, daughter of John Hauke of St Mary Bredyn should have also.
She gave unto the said Susan Cheese one gold ringe and xx of silver ....., arpyn? of silver a black cloth gown, a blacke appron of silke and halfe her wearinge linen.
And that the other halfe of her wearing linen she willed the willed? to Mary Hauke her daughters daughter And also she willed unto the said Mary Hauke one other blacke gown next unto her best gowne and her best red petticoate ap?.. of silver h... and a blacke apron.
Item she willed to John Hauke her daughters son and William Hauke his brother should have her great chest standing by bedside between them.
Item she willed unto the said John Hauke one angel of gold and also a noble of English monie owing unto her by Thomas Bowldinge of Crondall.
Item she willed to the said William Hauke one silver .....
Item she willed unto Rychard Cheese and Thomas Hauke her daughters sons to either of them one other ....
Item she willed unto Mary Hauke the wife of the said John Hauke her best gowne. Item she willed unto mother Sittell her other Setigowne?
Item she willed unto Walter Brooke her kynsman and Jane? his wyfe two pewter dishes and to the sonne of the said Walter Brooke xijs,xiijd of lawfull English monie.
She willed unto Christopher Hauke her kynsman one pewter dish All the residue of her goodes, money, chattel and household stuff whatsoever she had.
She gave and bequeathed unto John Hauke, Rychard Cheese, Mary Hauke, Thomas Hauke, Roger Hauke, Rychard Hauke, Mary Cheese, Chrystopher Hauke, Susan Cheese, and Mary Hauke her ....... to be equally divided amongst them. There beinge witness hereunto James Annekyn?, John Tanner, and mother Sittell; James Annikin, John Tanner his marke.
