Laura's Ham Loaf
1 ½# Ground Ham*
1# Pork Sausage**
2/3 cup milk
2 eggs
1 c crushed saltine cracker crumbs
½ tsp black pepper
½ can tomato soup (straight from the can)
Glaze:
Combine
½ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
2/3 cup vinegar (type of your choice) or pineapple juice
Pour over ham loaf before baking.
Mix together as you would for a meatloaf. Bake at 350º for about 1 hour.
*I buy the “football shaped” hams when on sale and grind in my food processor.
** Pork sausage you would use for breakfast. Use the seasoning level you prefer.
I like the medium for this. A good quality sausage is worth the price, as it mixes in much
better and you don’t have a lot of grease in the end.
