"Life is what's happening while we're busy making other plans".
- John Lennon
I think that at times we are all guilty of letting life pass us by while we are worried about what happened yesterday or all the "what ifs" of the tomorrows to come. I'm afraid I allowed many precious moments to elude me as my children were growing up and having realized this, I am determined to not miss out on the latest and greatest, events of my life.
"Man's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions."
- Oliver Wendell Holmes
The times of my life, not consumed by family, and the sound of the ocean, is spent in various and sundry other activities. I am a "jack of all crafts and master of none." The urge to create is so strong that I have a room full of crafts just waiting for the time when I can finish this web page and get to them. During the B.C. years (before computer), I used to be rather good at beginning and finishing my crafts. Now, I get to them when my eyes are too blurry to read the monitor anymore. But, my latest love is scrapbooking.
I am now in my 29th year of teaching - and getting a mindset that is looking forward to retiring. I have also been an active participant in our Community Theater for the past 16 years and many more civic and social activities. I believe in supporting the community and county in which I live - you know, kind of giving back for all the good things that I've received. Won't you take a look at theOther times in my life?
