Normal School, Los Angeles, California. (May be 1904.) She resided at 16704
Western Avenue, Gardena, Los Angeles county, California from 1906 to 1932. She
was Postmaster after 1906 in Moneta, Los Angeles county, California. Both Thomas
and Leora Pitman served as postmasters at Moneta, California, for 15 years.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star from Sep 25 1912 to 1966 in
Gardena, Los Angeles county, California. Certified Life Member on 2 March, 1962,
in recognition of 50 years of membership. She resided at the home of her mother

1960s her decreased vision and mobility made it necessary for her to move to
the home of her daughter, Winifred, in Escondido, California. She was District
46 Deputy President, Past Noble Grand, of the Rebekah Assembly, I.O.O.F. from
May 16 1947 to May 1948 in California. She died on Mar 23 1966 in Escondido,
San Diego county, California. She was buried in the Pitman family plot in the
Inglewood Cemetery, Inglewood, Los Angeles county, California. Children were:
