Find your site very moving with the old songs and pictures. I am a g g g g grandaughter of Absalom Joyner 1720 - 1790 Winifred I'm hoping to learn more about my other ancestors and submitting articles about them to the U S Gen Web. My g grandfather, Dr. Thomas M. Joyner, son of Littleton Joyner, Sr., came to Arkansas in 1851. At the Hot Spring County, AR U S Gen Web site I subm tted an article about he and the other founders of the Social Hill Methodist Church. Two of his young sons were killed by Yankees near Social Hill.

We're very interested to find your well designed web page - here in our tiny Oxfordshire village have been researching past generations of Joyners and have traced them back to the East End of London at the time of Jack The Ripper! Are there any more UK J yners who are curious?

There are Joyners from everywhere. I"ve ound a bunch from New England, some from SC, etc. Really loved your site. Thanks for all the hard work and research.

MY father was born in Yadkin Co., N.C., in l9l2 to James Robert and Betty Wooten Joyner. He was one of l0 children, 5 of whom are still living. I know little about his grandparents and only a little more about his parents. My father's name was Johnson arks JOyner. Siblings were Henry Grady Joyner, Dorman Thomas Joyner, James Cornelius Joyner, Max JOyner, Price JOyner, Sina Joyner Hayes, Pauline JOyner Ellison, Doris Joyner Lord, plus one sister (the eldest child) whose name I do not know (she died in er teens). My father moved to Virginia (MOntgomery Co.) in the early l940's. The other siblings, except Grady and Doris, remained in N.C. Those still alive are Sina, D.T., Jim, Pauline and Doris. Any information on my grandparents would be greatly app eciated.

My gr gr gr grandmother was Frances Joyner, wife of Thomas Nelson, originally from Northampton County NC, and who died in Adams County Iowa in 1854. Her and her husband Thomas Nelson migrated to Iowa that fall from Grant county Indiana. I believe France was the daughter of Abraham, whose father was Giles, whose father was Abraham, whose father was Abraham, whose father was William, whose father was Thomas, whose father was Thomas 1619 - 1694. I guess that would make us cousins! Very distant, but cousi s none the less. I am currently working on my Horton lineage, but have quite a bit of Joyner information as well. You have a very attractive web page. Nicely done!
