Surnames:
FERGUSON
I am searching for any Ferguson connections which originated in the Halifax -
Goldboro - or elsewhere in Nova Scotia. My grandfather was Robert Ferguson
(married Laura Giffin in late 1800's) who was a blacksmith as was his father
(Robert?). They had six boys (Walter, Harold, Frank [Byron], George, Roy and
Scott) and a daughter Lula(sp?). All children emigrated to U.S. in the 1900's
settling in New York City and New Jersey.
My great grandfather supposedly emigrated from Scotland. Any connections would
be appreciated.
Thanks
Roger Ferguson

Surnames:
FERGUSON, McCARTY and DONALDS
I'm looking for a connection on James FERGUSON who married Ellen
McCARTY prior to 1890. They had three children, Daniel Charles
FERGUSON (my grandfather) who married Margaret Olive DONALDS in
St. Paul Minnesota. Daniel lived in Red Wing MN for most of his
life-he ran a farm, then a bar. The other two children of James
FERGUSON were Dorthy FERGUSON and Della FERGUSON. I was told that
James FERGUSON came out of Canada-Nova Scotia prior to coming to
Minnesota?
Any help. Thank you.
