Surname:
FERGUSON and JONES
My great grandfather Pleasant Ferguson was born in Nashville, TN in 1819 He
married Emily Jones, born 12 April 1824, Kentucky, in 1842, Marshall County
Indiana. One of their children, Elzina Ferguson, my grandmother, was born
14 April 1853, Indiana.
Pleasant's father was William. Place and date of birth are not known. His
first wife died two weeks after Pleasant was born. He married Thresa, his
second wife and had 8 children. Pleasant was raised by Andrew his uncle. He
left Nashville when he was 20 years old.
I am seeking information on Pleasant's father William. Origin, place and
date of birth and death would be most helpful. My file contains
considerable information and pictures of this branch of the Ferguson family
if it would be of interest.
Your reply would be most appreciated.

Surname:
FERGUSON and PRYOR
Would like very much to find where in Virginia these GGGrandparents are
from. The 1850 census record shows then as living in Shelbyville,
Bedford Co. TN, i,e Ferguson Joseph R. (32) Margaret (30) Elizabeth (5)
Margaret (3) Samuel S (7) Benjamin W (11) Sarah (60) and Va Va , which
so I am told, means the two came from Virginia.
Sarah could have been the Mother of Joseph R, or maybe an older sister.
Benjamin is my GGrandfather, I have his civil war records and that of
brother Samuel Sylvester. The two traveled to Shelbyville from Marion
County TN, in July 1862 and joined the Union Army along with John Pryor,
Benjamin later married john's sister Nancy. The two brothers got out of
the Army in 1865.
I know what happened to Benjamin, but no idea about the others.
Appreciate any help on this from anyone.
Thanks in advance

Surnames:
FERGUSON
I'm curious if you have come across any information on Carlos Ferguson.
I believe he was originally from Detroit, Michigan. He was married prior
to marrying my grandmother, Gertrude (Polish last name that I can't
spell). They had ten children, one of which is my father, Richard Dale
Ferguson, who is now 51 years old. My grandfather, Carlos Ferguson,
died about 18 years ago and was at that time a resident of Puryear,
Tennessee.
