Virginia Ferguson Queries

If you have a query on a Ferguson(doesn't have to be related to the Fergusons on this site) e-mail me and I will post it. Surnames: FERGUSON and STEPHENS

I am looking for information on JULIA FERGUSON/FURGUSON Married Thomas A. STEPHENS in Virginia about 1796,( possibly Pennsylvania Co. Va). and moved to Kentucky in about 1808. They had eleven children, JOHN VANT, ROBERT, THRONTON, ALEXANDER, FIELDING, WILLIS, MARY, KATIE, POLLY, LURINDA, and ELLEN. Most of these children settled in WashingtonCo and Dent Co Missouri. I have NO information from Julia back, which I am in "NEED" of. I have more information on the STEPHENS and would love to share.

Surname: FERGUSON and PRYOR

Would like very much to find where in Virginia these GGGrandparents are from. The 1850 census record shows then as living in Shelbyville, Bedford Co. TN, i,e Ferguson Joseph R. (32) Margaret (30) Elizabeth (5) Margaret (3) Samuel S (7) Benjamin W (11) Sarah (60) and Va Va , which so I am told, means the two came from Virginia.
Sarah could have been the Mother of Joseph R, or maybe an older sister. Benjamin is my GGrandfather, I have his civil war records and that of brother Samuel Sylvester. The two traveled to Shelbyville from Marion County TN, in July 1862 and joined the Union Army along with John Pryor, Benjamin later married john's sister Nancy. The two brothers got out of the Army in 1865.
I know what happened to Benjamin, but no idea about the others. Appreciate any help on this from anyone.

Surname: FERGUSON, PARKS and SUMMERS

I'm looking for any information about a Joseph FERGUSON (b. 1759-VA D. 11-28-1828 KY), married Sarah SUMMERS VA. Also seeking information about John FERGUSON B. 1762 PA, d. 1839, married Eleanor______. I am the granddaughter of Thomas Leonidas FERGUSON TN and Maude Winifred PARKS TN and am putting together ancestral information. Would appreciate any connections of which you may be aware.

I am trying to find info on a family named FERGUSON from Carolina County, Virginia. Mother's name Lucy Ferguson-husband ? childrens names were Louis, Marshall, Rosella etc?? Louis was born 8-19-1915 her family moved to Bordentown, NJ about 60 yrs ago.

I have been searching for Obediah (Obadiah, Obedia) Ferguson.He was born around 1798 in Franklin Co., Va., and died around 1857 in Wayne Co., VA/WVa. He married Elizabeth Martin on Sept. 9, 1786. They moved to Lee Co., Va. probably before 1797. They had the following children:
1. Sarah H. (Sarah was 6 years old when Obediah and Elizabeth Married).
2. William
3. Rueben
4. John
5. George
6. Obediah. Jr.
7. Elizabeth
8. Joel Martin
9. Henry

If anyone has any information on Obediah's parents, it would be greatly appreciated.

Surname: FERGUSON and JACKSON

I am searching for the parents of ELIJAH FERGUSON born about 1775 possibly in Virginia. He married ELIZABETH JACKSON on August 1, 1806 in Wilkinson County, Mississippi. Elijah is supposed to have died in 1840 Carroll County, Mississippi. These are my fourth great grandparents.
Any help would be appreciated.
