The above depicted Armorial Achievements combine Arms granted, by the Chief Herald of Ireland and Lord Lyon King of Arms of Scotland. The Shields were identical, but each Authority granted a different Crest.

On June 4, 1988, Canada became the first nation in the present- day Commonwealth to have Her Majesty's Royal Prerogative in heraldic matters exercised in its own domain.
