BIOGRAPHY:
Harry Lloyd Clark was born Mar 9, 1889 in Humboldt county, Iowa, the youngest of nine children of Ernest Eugene Clark and Emma Gertrude Hewitt. He attended school in rural Humboldt county and moved to Montana at the age of 16 for relief of hay-fever.

It was in Bozeman, Montana that Harry met and married Zelma Meece on Oct 11, 1911. They were the parents of one daughter.

In 1915, the family moved to Iowa and farmed in the Livermore area until 1930. Harry then operated the D-X Service station in Livermore until his retirement in 1967. Harry Clark was instrumental in forming the original fire department while he was Livermore mayor. He served as secretary for the humboldt township school board for 25 years and was a 32nd degree Mason of Jasper Lodge A.F.&A.M. of which he was a past master and was also a shriner. Harry had played tuba and sang with the Karl King municipal band for some time and was also active in church choirs.

Harry Lloyd Clark passed away Thursday morning October 25, 1973 in his home. He is buried in Union Cemetery at Livermore, Iowa.
