BUSHFIRES!!

Alberta's bushfires......out of control!!
Gone!!.......acres of grassland! FIRE is so BOLD!
Firefighters exhausted and farmers in flight,
Blaze, moving quickly..... all day and all night!
FIRE!! SO FIERCE!! SO FAST!! So DEADLY, too!!
Watching homesteads destroyed....can't believe, that it's true!
A lifetime of effort! All their future hopes and dreams,
Ruined by Nature, not due to their schemes!
Now, just rubble........................ and smoldering ash,
Gone forever................................. as quick as a flash!
Failure................not because of their own lack of trying,
Families stand helpless...................their children are crying!
Toys, furniture, books, pictures...GONE!...they must face the facts!
Now, good people are left, with just clothes on their backs!
What are the "lessons" from such a disaster?'
Could they have stopped this, if they had moved faster?
All over the world....DISASTERS....all of the time!
Why can't life be pleasant.....more peaceful and sublime?
Are destructive forces meant to teach all of us more?
Things, that we need to learn, as we grow and explore?
Forcing new possibilities....adding new strength and courage,
Promoting compassion, in the midst of things to discourage!
No time for questions....I just cannot figure it out,
It's not the right moment, to forsake, cry, scream or pout!
Just onward to better days, for now destiny will bring,
New life! New joy! After Winter.............comes Spring!
A time to rise, work hard and shine once again!
A time to forget about yesterday's loss and pain!
Empty spaces will be sufficiently filled, then....
With renewed Faith, Hope and Love......once again!!
