The Need For Change

Instead of reaching out, for the stars and moon,
We could all gain more insight very soon....
By bestowing prizes, to the prime examples,
Of TRUTH, with more ample, honest samples!
HONESTY deserves more of our respect...for...
In this mixed-up world, we need it more and more!
Trust has slipped, far from most people's lives, now...
Only TRUTH, JUSTICE, TIME can restore it somehow!
We should not even consider falsehoods....essentially...
For TRUTH will always surface and shame us, eventually!
In such amazing ways, in spite of all, that you do,
At some unexpected moment, TRUTH will get through!
Lies devour and rob us, of a peaceful soul and mind,
Cluttering our thoughts, that really could be fine!
Secrets, still hidden, can secretly destroy you...
So fearful, of accepting what is real and true!
Dysfunctional lives, lost in a maze and so,
Unable to advance smoothly...or calmly backward go!
Honesty can be such a jolting thing for you,
If you aren't used to accepting all that is true!
Familiarity sometimes breeds contempt.....for......
We've heard and seen the same thing, more and more!
But, familiarity eases the concern, I've found,
When lies and deception grow, by leaps and bounds!
We can expect more lies, in what others have to say,
Such a sad thought, on this lovely, modern day!!

It is truly amazing, how many good people are willing, to hide their heads
in the sand, like ostriches, when they see the evils, in our modern world.
It was ever thus and advancement in civilization....at least socially and
spiritually....has been hampered, because of it. There are no longer rules
and acceptable behaviour, morals and honour are almost extinct. The
almighty dollar, keeping up with the neighbours and getting away with
crimes and corruption, are the order of the day! A sad thought!

However, the problems continue to grow, by leaps and bounds, due to neglect
and selfishness, based on a Godless existence, where anything goes, no
matter who gets hurt. When a man sits on the fence and does nothing about
evil, he is actually helping it to exist and flourish. Why do ordinary
citizens have to put their hand on the Bible and swear to tell the truth in
Court, while some lawyers and judges are exempt and constantly lie, in
order to get their clients free? It is so degrading, when those important
people, in exalted positions, of authority, abuse the laws and disregard
decent, personal behaviour, setting ugly standards for future citizens, of
our country. Apparently money and position can purchase anything....even
freedom from Criminal Actions. When they are caught, in their own webs,
they simple lie and once again their dishonesty is swept under the carpet.
The world goes on, in its carefree, fun-loving way, on its way to the fires
of Hell.
