Farewell to British Rule!

Prince Charles bestows knighthood to British elite,
The Royal Britannia is docked, just down the street,
One hundred and fifty-six years of rule,
Now in the hands, of the Communist "mule"!
Pouring rain! Fireworks! Anticipation!
Not all Chinese feel much admiration!
Goodbye Democracy....Hello to new control!
So interesting, to see how it will unfold!
Hong Kong....a great, world class city!
Will "success" survive?.....If not....such a pity!
Colonial masters retreat, in high style!
The Governor goes, for that extra mile....
Three times around the same driveway,
A sign, that he will return some day!
The Chinese celebrate, with a show of force,
Arrogant, about what others think, of course!
But, many Chinese have fled from this threat,
A "New Day in History" is what we all get!!
