The Earth does not belong to me!
I belong to the Earth!
Nature is kind! Nature is harsh!
Life for animals is always so hard,
Therefore, they must be on guard!
Each has a purpose...is part of the plan,
Especially when untouched by man!
When I watch their young at play,
I look at life, in a whole new way!
When I hear their mothers cry,
Because their newborn had to die,
I realize the pain they feel,
All alone, they go on and heal!
Life is cruel, here in the wild,
Sometimes cold and sometimes mild!
A balance between the bitter and sweet,
Wolves that prey and lambs that bleat!
No wonder lemmings rush toward the sea,
It seems impossible to me!
Survival is a full time thing.....
Whether it's a squirrel, or a bird on the wing!
The Earth does not belong to me,
Or weaker creatures, that I see!
The strong and bold will conquer all,
And the weak it seems must always fall!
So, I must be strong and not give in,
I will continue to live and win!!
