REPEAT  PERFORMANCE

I'll be your true friend, for I am sincere!
I'll continue to listen and care, year after year!
Hear all that comes, from your secret place,
Then wipe the tears, from your sorrowful face!
I'll respect what you tell me and my gentle hands,
Will just be there for you, without ulterior plans!
Both of us free, from life's impossible demands!
If you stress your weaknesses, I won't say,"Oh, my!"
I will respect your honesty! You know I will try!
Even when I believe, that your decisions are wrong,
I won't sing the familiar, "I Told You So" song!
I've heard the same sad tales, a hundred times before,
But, I must be a friend and not ever keep score!
So, go ahead! Speak your mind! Regurgitate!
I don't really care, if it is too early or too late!
Spit out the poison, with your words and tears!
All that has upset you, over so many years!
Don't be concerned, about what I will think!
I've been there too, so close to the brink!
I'll be a good listener, strong and true,
Wanting only the best things for you!
But, if you try to take advantage of me,
You'll find, that I will very quickly flee!
