Spring Art Show

Winter gone! Here is Spring!
Birds so happy....they glide and sing!
As if to say, "Thanks" for GOD's helping hand,
Bringing them safely, to the Promised Land!
I'm grateful too...for once more,
No howling North Wind, at my front door!
No ice...no snowflakes...to greet my day!
The glistening, white hills now seem far away!
But, there'll be more to please my eyesight,
Rebirth of Spring flowers to add more delight!
All the familar pleasures now return,
Tulips, hyacinths...daffodils...that make me yearn,
For greener vines and leaves overhead,
Seed catalogues, gardening books, to be read!
Fences to mend.......branches to clip....
These things are only the smallest tip,
Of a very deep stack, of chores to be done,
Now that I'm blessed, with rain and sun,
Seasons come!!........... Seasons go!!
Through it all, I really don't know,
Which season presents the best "Art Show"!
