THE INVINCIBLE TITANIC

There, two and a half miles beneath the sea,
A splendid ship, that was supposed to be...

INVINCIBLE!

Twisted and decaying, on the ocean floor,
This proud vessel should have done more!

INVINCIBLE?

"Even GOD couldn't sink it." a man had said,
But, just one huge iceberg caused this watery dread!

INVINCIBLE?

Must be more careful about "words" and "guessin",
Often proven wrong, to teach us a lesson!

INVINCIBLE?

Eleven-story, ocean liner, unable to compete,
With a chunk of ice....a voyage so brief!

INVINCIBLE?

Oh, yes, one voyage is much too brief!
It succumbed to the watery grave beneath!

INVINCIBLE?

Small rivets didn't hold, during the crushing blow,
Invincible wasn't invincible, we now know!

INVINCIBLE?

I must remember this.....
When I forget I'm weak and ideas aren't real!
When I think I'm able to decide or deal!
When I'm too confident and all seems fine,
Forgetting to balance, on a delicate line!
Thinking, that I'm so ....

INVINCIBLE!

I really need to inspect the past,
And realize, that earthly things don't last!
Nothing on earth is.....

INVINCIBLE!

But, if I depend on the ONE, who's arranged,
An everlasting life, that can't be changed!
Then, and only then, can I truly see,

Something INVINCIBLE!!
For ME!

"Slowly the ship reared up on end...then quietly but quickly, she
disappeared." It happened, on the night of April 15th, in 1912, with great
loss of life. It was the worst shipping disaster ever to occur in
peacetime. This luxurious liner was making her maiden voyage, from
Southampton to New York, when she struck an iceberg and sank within two and
a half hours.
