As if they had wings, they glide and go,
Wind on faces, strong hands that know!
The trail is familiar, although sometimes steep!
No time to delay....no time for much sleep!
On and on....into the mountains and glens,
No one else knows, where their voyage ends!
Up and down, each long, dusty trail,
They reach their goals....they must not fail!
They can travel, to most anywhere,
In weather, that's cruel or days, that are fair!
Hardships don't daunt them, for they must be,
Happy on "wheels", that make them so free!
Free to go, where others don't dare,
Free to enjoy, nature's scenes and fresh air!
Free to experience a wonderful way!
To explore the countryside, most every day!
So, give me wheels, wind, winding trail, too!
Then I'll have wings and so will you!!
