HELP
I am looking for some help on starting a genealogy web page for each City (Township, ect..) in Rice County. Wouldn't it be wonderful to know the history of each of these towns, there history, early settler's, cemetery record's, old or new picture's, Church history's, School history's, Newspaper articles, Anything would be wonderful!
Don't know HTML, thats OKAY. There are many tuitorial's and there are many free places to obtain "web page's", of course like where I have this one Geocities, I will also help where I can, but, this will be YOUR web page and up to you to maintain it.
Don't live in the area, that's OKAY. I will try to help as much as I can!!!
There are other ways to help to, Maybe you make GREAT graphics and would like to contrubute that way (as you can see, my page could use some help...)
Do you do research? Paid or free? We can always use help!
Maybe you have an old Diary, letter, Pictures, Biographical information that you would like to contribute.
This will be the Rice County Genealogical Society on the Internet! (or maybe you can think up a better name!)
Or maybe you are a writer and can help with things like this, I am a writer but sometimes and extra opinion is always wonderful to have!
Let's help other genealogist with there quest, Make this an educational experience for everyone who stops by! Let the child who is trying find something out about his great- great-great grandfather who was in the Civil War learn about him and where he came from, or the grandmother came to an area that was prarie land who left the home and family she knew, where it was a time of men and how these women worked hard for the women of today. Let people find where they came from... Family....
