The Wedding of Miss. Bertha Schmidt and Dr. Warren Wilson was solemnized Wednesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt on College avenue. Decorations of Palms and roses lent added attractiveness to the parlors at the Schmidt home and Christmas holly and misteltoe, in keeping with the joyous holiday season, were used in decorating. At half after eight the bridal party descended to the parlors to the strains of the beautiful wedding march from Lobengrin played by Miss Mary Manning. The two pretty nieces of the bride, Margaret andf Eloise Schmidt, dressed in white; preceded the bridal couple and as they advanced stretched white satin ribbons forming an aisle from the hallway to the parlor, down which the bride and groom elect passed. The bride was handsomely attired in white organdie with lace insertions and wore a tuttle veil. She carried a beautiful cluster of bride roses in her hand. Rev. J.E. McConnell performed the ceremony, using the beautiful Episcopal service, the ring being used. The bride was given away by her brother, J.G. Schmidt. After the ceremony was concluded and congratulations had been recieved by the newly wedded couple, refreshments were served in the dining room, green and red being the prevailing tints in the decorative scheme. Miss Mary Manning rendered several charming selections from Grieg and Chaminade at the piano during the evening. Both bride and groom have many friends in this city who extend congratulations. Both by her ability as a vocalist and her personality Mrs. Wilson has gained the friendship of a large circle of acquaintances. Dr. Wilson a resident of Northfield searcely a year, has built up a rapidly increasing practice in his profession and has won the friendship of all who have come into contact with him. Dr. and Mrs. Wilson have taken up their residence at the corner of Fourth Street and College Avenue where they will reside. Among the out of town guests who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Brooks Henderson, of St. Paul. Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Scriver, of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Gress, of Cannon Falls, Miss Josephine Apfeld , of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Massey, Mr. and Mrs. Bachelder, Miss Bernice Parshall, Miss LeCrone, Miss McCarthy. J.R. Smith and Robert Mee of Faribault. H. P. Whittier of St. Anthony Park and Mabel Grace Bouck of this City Wedded Tuesday
Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock a very quiet wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. Houck when their daughter, Mabel Grace, was wedded to H. P. Whittier of St. Anthony Park. The bride and groom were unattended and were united in marriage by Rev. Mr. Rogers of the Presbyterian church at Farmington.
The bride's gown was of white silk. At three o'clock a sumptous wedding dinner was served after which the newly wedded couple left on the evening train for St. anthony Park where they will reside in the future. Miss Houck is a graduate of Farmington high school and has a large circle of aquaintances and friends, all of whom wish her unbounded happiness in the future.
Mr. Whittier is foreman of the joining department of the St. Anthony Furniture Co.
The relatives present at the wedding were the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Whittier of Farmington, and Miss S. A. Whittier, of this city.
April 1900........Northfield News The Hunter-Cowell Nupitals Takes Place Near Northfield
Miss Anna Pearl Hunter and Fred J. Cowell were married at the home of the brides parents Mr. and Mrs. Walterf Hunter, of Waterford, Wednesday, April 4th, at high noon. Rev. R. N. Avison performing the ceremony that made the two lives one. The Parlor decorations were beautiful consisting of potted plants, cut flowers andf evergreens. Miss Etta Bills played Lobengrin's wedding march and the bridal party entered the parlor where the ceremony was performed. The bride dressed in Melange granite clothe trimmed with corded silk and carried a boqet of white roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Alice Cowell, sister of the groom wore a gown of gray venetian cloth trimmed with white satin. Will Hunter, brother of the bride, was best man. A bountiful dinner was served after the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Cowell will reside on the Cowell homestead in Waterford. The guests present from away were Mr. and Mrs. G.D. Heywood and daughter. F. Hunter, Mr. and Mrs.E. Pike and family of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. O. Arnold of St. Paul, Mrs. S. Coulter of Staples, Mrs. A.S. Foster, Will Foster and Mrs. Wm Coulter of Waseca.

Lois Fabre and Miss Margaret Albers, both of Union Lake, were married Tuesdayat the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Albers. Rev. Francke, of this city, performed the ceremony. Fifty-eight relatives of the young couple were present at the wedding which made the event very enjoyable and one long to be remembered.
