My AFS experience

Many years ago I got to spend a year in The US as an exchange student. I stayed in Arkansas City, Kansas. I had a great year living with a nice family. I feel I learned a lot during that year and hopefully I was able to share some information about Norway. I am really sorry that i have not been able to go back to visit. It is not that I have not wanted to, but due to various reasons i have not made the trip yet. As my kids grow older my goal is to take them to the US and visit family and friends

I would like you to consider the great experience it is to host an exchange student. If you have Norwegian ancestors wouldn't this be a great opportunity to learn about Norway?

Most towns in the USA have an AFS chapter and if you are not able to host this year any kind of support is greatly appreciated. You can host a student for a week-end.

All the AFS chapters are working to make the student's year memorable. Help them in this work!

I plan on writing more about my AFS experience later

I supply the adress to AFS in the USA. Go there and learn more about the intercultural program
