Ah, Old School House up on the
hill.
Where all is quiet and still
Where once I played and learned
And many hard grades earned.
Where I sang the songs of youth,
And played games to win and lose.
Where tricks and jokes were played,
Yet, lifetime friends were made.
Oh, how oft I entered thy doors
And walked over thy floors,
Whether in the Winter’s cold snow
Or in the Spring’s warm glow.
Yea golden were those days
And bright as the sun’s rays.
Now school house up on the hill
In my vision thou standest still.
And though thy days now be long past,
They golden memory shall forever last.
