Ashley's Place
Hi Welcome to my home on the web
1999 is looking good.
I am beginning to see the start of the light, at the end of the tunnel...
Cody continues to grow in leaps and bounds, and just recently has started talking up a storm... He is now almost three, and really starting to get into conversation, and with Net meeting, web cams and the Ethernet I get to see him often. He absolutely loves the movie Bugs Life, and it is his first movie that he actually sat through and watched in it's entirety. Star Wars isn't far behind on his list of favorite movies, and he sits through most of the special effects scenes. His two favorite toys are Heimlich, and Dim (from Bugs life.) Although right now he loves Elephants, and pronounces them, "Eleee-ants."
This last year during Halloween he was Blue from Blues Clues, and really got into the free candy thing, and insisted on carrying his own bag.
Do you see the resemblance between Cody and his
daddy?I spent Christmas Break in Upstate New York and loved every minute of it. I stayed mostly in the Finger Lakes region, but did get into the City, and visited Niagara Falls. I was passing through Niagara late one night right before they turned the lights off of the falls. I parked in the bus parking area, because I was the only one around. I got out of my car, and walked about a hundred feet down the sidewalk, and when I looked over the edge the Falls were right there, I was looking straight down the vertical drop of the falls.
All the courses I am taking this fall semester are in my major. I am taking Business Communication and Report writing, Information Systems and Analysis, Production Fundamentals, Project management for Information Systems, and Systems Analysis and Design. Notice anything about the titles of my courses? Three of them have the word, "System" contain in the title! I will be a senior after this semester, and I am looking forward to graduating the Spring of 2001.
I spent the majority of my summer in Oregon with my little family. I had a great time, and made a trip to the Redwood Forest, and a few trips to the coast. It's amazing to me that the trees are as big as they are. I didn't realize how big they were until I actually stopped, got out of the car, and stood back away from the view, and then it's just like the post cards you see, with the gargantuan trees, and the little tiny people. It's pretty incredible =)
Alas, I had to sell my gorgeous 1990 Yamaha Virago 535 to finance my vacation to see the fam, but a new bigger one is just around the corner. (Can you see the tunnel, I think I can almost make it out.)
I have now officially moved even closer to campus. I am in one of the best kept secrets around. I moved into Lory Student Apartments last month, and it puts me within five minutes of all of my classes! Plus I have an Ethernet connection to the web, and can watch South Park on demand anytime I want.
I Spent Thanksgiving in Ann Arbor with my mom and step-dad and had a very relaxing break. Driving back through Nebraska I actually bumped into the band Danzig at a Flying J truck stop and received a personally autographed picture. I'm not really a Danzig fan, so if you are and want a signed picture drop, me a line.
Drop me an Email sometime and I will write back.
