Matthew is 4 1/2 and loves hockey and baseball. He likes to go to NHL games with his dad and cheer on their team. Matthew is a big Arthur fan and Veggie Tales fan. He has alot of energy and keeps us busy all the time. Sometimes the things he says and does has his dad saying "How old are you anyways?!" Matthew has taken a real liking to baseball and with the nice weather we have had lately, he's been busy outside. His latest accomplishment is learning to ride a 2 wheeler with training wheels. He caught on very quickly and wants to ride it all the time, this includes indoors when the weather is not so nice! Matthew has had a rough last 3 years, he was diagnosed at age 2 with an enlarged spleen and low platelets. They are unsure of the cause and have been doing follow up on him every three months or so. The platelets go up and down and the spleen has gone down a bit. It has been hard for Matthew to be poked and prodded and he is not fond of blood being taken, but he has really done well. He has an inner strength that as his mom I could only wish to have. He handles it alot better now than he did just a few short months ago. That may be in part to the wonderful staff at B.C. Childrens Hospital. They have helped our whole family deal with this and one doctor in particular, Dr.Fernandez played a great part in helping our family. Dr.Ward have taken over now and we are down to visits once a year! Further down the page we have a link to the hospital's web site, check it out! Please remember to support your local Childrens Hospital, you never know who may need the help one day and we want to have the equipment and staff avaliable when kids need it the most! By looking at him you'd never guess he was sick!
Natasha is 3 years old and full of energy like her brother. She is on the go and loves to be with her brother. He reads her stories and the two get along very well. They do fight though and we've had teeth marks from both and broken up many fights! They really love each other and Natasha captured her brother's heart from the moment he held her in the hospital when she was born. Natasha is a fast learner like her brother and surprises us with what she can do. Natasha likes Winnie the Pooh and Tigger and her face lights up when she sees them. She has made us laugh at the things she tries to do. She has to be big like Matthew! She follows him everywhere, much to his delight or distress depending on what he's doing. She just started ballet and is loving every moment of it.
Joshua is 8 1/2 months old and really starting to fit in around here. Or should I say that now that he is getting around, he doesn't let the other 2 take his toys! He delights us with his smiles, laughter and babbling and his vocabulary is getting bigger...he can say mom, dad, matthew, natasha and cookie. He is a very content baby and only fusses when things get really hectic in the house, or should I say his older brother and sister are at each other right beside him! God has blessed us with 3 beautiful children and we are very thankful.

EXCITING NEWS! We have our own page now in the neighborhood for kids and by kids..please come and see us there. We may have some of the same stuff (my sister and I got to pick out these graphics and we really like them!), but we'll be able to tell you lots more and have more kids stuff.
