Welcome to my kitchen. I am a stay at home mom of 3 very beautiful kids. Matthew is 4 1/2 years old, Natasha is 3 years old and Joshua who is 8 1/2 months. They are the joy of my life and bring both laughter and tears to my eyes. Ckeck out our kids' play place link to find out more about them, just go back through the door at the bottom of the page. There is never a dull moment at our house. We are homeschooling our kids. They are fast learners and enjoy the challenge of learning something new. We hope to be able to have a page for homeschooling resources in the near future.

I teach Sunday School for 5 year olds at our church and there is never a dul moment. It is neat to reach out to so many open hearts. My favorite part had to be when they see you the next week and their eyes light up and they say hi. They are so eager to learn and I think they have taught me a thing or two as well!

It is through our faith and our love for the Lord that has helped us get through a very rough few years. Matthew was diagnosed with an enlarged spleen and low platelets 3 years ago and it has been hard on our family. They still don't know the cause of this. Also Joshua was diagnosed with a heart murmur at 3 weeks and they found that he has Atrial Septral Defect. It is where the valve between the 2 top chambers of the heart didn't close over at birth. They actually see a fair amount of this. In most cases it closes over itself within 2 years. They will follow him for 2 years and monitor it. 1 in 100 kids born in our province has a heart defect, this number surprised us. It is hard to have 2 kids that require services at Childrens' Hospital, but it is nice to have it there. It is sometimes hard to remember that He is walking with us and guiding us, when all we feel is hurt and frustration. He has a plan for us, we may not understand why things happen the way they do, but we must remember to trust in Him. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6 He loves all of us and if we trust in Him, He will help us through. Thanks to all our friends who have helped us through this and been there to watch our kids or be a shoulder to cry on.

I worked at the telethon for the hospital during the last weekend in May and was overjoyed at the money raised...$5.5 million!! It is such a rush to be there in the heart of the action and know that people are coming together to help the children of our province. Thanks to all!!

I enjoy sewing and doing crafts. I also like to cook and am eager to try new recipes. Check out my recipe and craft section regularly for some new ideas.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it
does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it
is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no
record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices
in the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always
hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8
