It is always the highlight of any year to visit friends in New York.  We had that privilege in October of 2006.  We attended a meeting in Jersey City on October 6.   We went to Staten Island on the ferry one evening for dinner with friends and walked along the shoreline and enjoyed the city lights after dark.
